Had my retirement party there last week. They put on a lovely buffet of sandwiches and nachos and dips which everyone enjoyed. The staff were lovely. What we didn't know was that the place was due to shut down after over 15 years trading. Very sad to hear this. Harvey's was the go-to place for all sorts of occasions from birthdays to leaving dos. Unfortunately, it didn't keep up with the competition so customer numbers dwindled.

My wife went here for lunch today with friends, she is writing this review. My friends and I went for lunch today, my order was Soup of the day as a starter, with Cheese and Onion Pie for main course. One other of my friends chose the same soup, however her soup was piping hot whilst mine was lukewarm at best. They were served at the same time, how did that happen? My main course did not arrive, my friends had almost finished their meal, I went to the bar to enquire where my main course was, the waitress looked blank, she obviously had not ordered it from the kitchen. Several minutes later she rushed to our table with my meal, just as my friends were finishing theirs. it was also not worth the wait- the salad and chips were fine, the cheese and onion pie not so, small portion and tasted like they had gone over board with the mixed herbs. Will not revisit.

Had an English breakfast and the mushrooms were greasy and the sausages were deep fried, my friend had eggs royalle and it was cooked salmon on a barm cake with 1 hard poached egg. Not worth £7 at all. Proper gone done hill.

Gorgeous drinks, this place has 95 gins!!! Was a bit disappointed with food, but on the whole a nice visit, will be returning 👍
