We have just had a lovely family lunch at the Harvester this afternoon. Sheila our waitress was fantastic and gave us a fantastic experience for our family meal before Christmas. The food was great and really enjoyed the festive menu, great value with great staff and would also like to thank Fraser for his service to the table for our drinks. Have a great Christmas and New Year and see you in 2022 for more great service PS the pudding a Baileys Ice Cream Sundae was yum!
Service was great to begin with but got busier and was noticeable with service. I went for the light option which was tasty, and hubby/kids food was really nice too! Although little dude described his beans as tasting like potatoes! #avoid
Food was an improvement on our last outing to the Harvester. Trimmed down menu which meant they are perhaps better at delivering what is left upon it. Enjoyed the food. It was served hot and cooked well. Miss the bacon bits though from the salad bar. Please reinstate!Food: 4/5
The food was really good and decent portions. The staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. The whole place was clean and tidy.
Was greeted and felt very welcomed to the restaurant by Lewis. He showed us to the table and kindly told us who our waiter was going to be. Barry was our waiter and what a very nice man he was. Food was fantastic, cooked to order and very fresh. Food arrived around 25minutes after ordering which was perfect time to eat from the salad bar and our starters first. The toilets were clean and very well presented. Very enjoyable evening and will be returning again soon. Vegetarian options: Good variety of vegetarian options on the menu. Do not see this in many restaurants. Kid-friendliness: Staff very child friendly. Always putting a smile on my daughters faces. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces available also with charging points for electric vehicles. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheel chair friendly with a wheel chair access toilet. Dietary restrictions: All dietary restrictions are all on an app which is brilliant as my partner has alot of allergies.
I loved my breakfast at the Harvester. The food was delicious... we had the unlimited breakfast and pancakes... very filling and well presented... the lady that serviced us was AMAZING... friendly, helpful, upbeat and she checked in on us regularly... that was one of the best services i have received in a long time... i will definitely be returning to the Harvester... thank you so much!!! Highly recommend visiting this pub!!!!
A juicy salad base of baby gem lettuce, red peppers, cucumber, crunchy slaw, spring onion & red chilli tossed in a low fat vinaigrette. This what my partner ordered and pictured is what she got. We waited over half an hour just for drinks which only arrived after asking a 3rd waitress. There was nothing mixed about my mixed grill and the steak which I ordered medium rare was more like well burnt. Our mains took over and hour to arrive, again we had to ask where it was. I observed other servers walking around aimlessly with drinks and looking bemused at other tables. Being short staff isn't even an excuse as the waitress said it's just like this on weekends. I must say the manager was helpful but we won't be returning again.
On a busy post Christmas night when 2 other establishments in the area were busy and turned us away, we were greeted with warmth, a great attitude and wonderful service. The food was excellent, delivered quickly and the whole order was correct. Barry our server was attentive without being pushy, and had the best attitude, despite the fact we had 4 children with us. This man is in the right job without a doubt and made the night for us. Whatever you are paying him, double , he deserves it. We haven’t been to this restaurant in quite a while but with great food and amazing service, we will be back! Kid-friendliness: This is not the usual kids menu! It is very varied and has great options. The kids loved being able to refill their own drinks and also the salad bar
Barry was our server today and unintentionally he had served us the previous 2 times before. Always polite, incredibly friendly with no pressure to order. A great, dry sense of humour to boot! Food was as good as always and at 5.15 on a Saturday we were served quickly. Kid-friendliness: Barry had a bit of a chat with our kids, engaging with them before the food came and made us feel at home. Parking: Lots of parking available. A short walk to the restaurant
I wanted to leave an impeccable review for Jade at the Harvester Swindon who was such a star. She was clear in communications that they had no staff and so there would be delayed service. Despite this she still was amazing. She was the only member of staff running around to accommodate for all guests and was so polite and helpful. Definitely deserves a promotion and a pay rise for her amazing work ability and work ethic. Thank you Jade!
