Haven't been to a Harvester for a couple of years now and our girls wanted to go because they remembered the salad bar. Nice decor inside and was clean. We weren't able to help ourselves at the salad bar, but a member of staff was there and served us. Food was really tasty but more expensive than we remembered, for 4 of us, it came to £110, though we did have 4 desserts and 2 coffees, but still thought it was a bit high for 3 burgers and a rack of ribs. The waffle dessert with ice cream and choc sauce was yummy! Staff were polite and friendly.
Location I was passing through so not sure if the location is that convenient, for me it certainly isn't an easy drive from Banbury - build one closer please Interior Felt like most other harvesters however I would say it was a bit cleaner and modern than most, the toilets were single cubicles with private wash basin, small detail but I liked them. Service They started terribly here, 12 minutes before I was asked for my drink order isn't great but the server recovered the situation and everyone after that seemed really attentive and always happy to top up the salad bowl for me. No longer self service Food Started with the chicken strips which were super hot and crispy. The BBQ dip was great but I grabbed the garlic mayo and other sauces to give a bit of dipping selection. Then the dirty burger, which was a filthy mess in all the right ways! The onion nest and hash brown really made every bite a carb loaded masterpiece. The chips were a bit bland but a bit of salt fixed that! The salad bar - I just love the pasta and potato salad. But last night I discovered the raisin topper which were sooo sweet. Absolutely beautiful. Price Fixed menu and a bottomless drink came to under £20. Cannot really complain with that! Overall Has to be a 3.5 on this one, I guess the whole experience was very good but it wasn't unique or special. I know what to expect at Harvester, but that means it doesn't WOW me, but that won't stop me returning several times!
Used a Groupon: 3 course meal for 2; food was lovely, bursting with flavour not just salt & black pepper, no long waits for each course. Service was good too, didn't have to shout or wave like an excited fan to get servers attention.Food: 5/5
Harvester was at one time an ok pit stop for a quick bite. The salad bar was always good with freshly baked bread. Now the staff have to do the salad bar which is fine but they are busy and don't get time! The bread rolls are now horrid and are not freshly baked, they are like aeroplane rolls our meal came out completely burned and the chips looked like they had been fried and fried again and were the dregs of the fryer..
Friendly service. Breakfast was ok. Sausages but chunky. Bacon ok. 2 fried eggs. One was hard, one soft. Bring your own marmalade. Good choice of fruit. Very busy!
Went here for breakfast shortly after opening time and it started to get busy quite quickly. Informed that they were unexpectedly short staffed on arrival. Despite this, the staff remained calm and delivered a pleasant service. Food and drinks arrived quicker than expected and presented nicely. The venue was clean and tidy. Recommended! Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, family orientated Parking: Situated in a retail park so plenty of parking. This may get busy as there are lots of large shops.
I visited the UK from the USA to spend a special day with my sisters and mom.. this was my first experience at Harvester and it is not going to be my last.. great to eat, the service was amazing, I love the atmosphere...Food: 5/5
We came as a family for a birthday meal. There was 11 of us. The waiter was really friendly and chatty. Even though we ordered extra drinks etc frequently he got them for us and did not make us wait etc. The food came out all at the same time. I really recommend going here for a relaxing meal. Our server was Jake N and he is a real credit to the team. Kid-friendliness: We had four kids with us and as usual they all wanted their meals without this and with extra that. They all got exactly what they wanted. Parking: It is a big car park, I can't imagine that it ever gets full.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Only space not ideal was where we sat as it was a bit on the end and exposed more to the elements nearer the door but understood staff would have moved us if another reservation had cancelled. Main server was Bethany I think and another chap in a waistcoat was also super helpful. Food came out hot and met expectations.
Excellent service, as always. Jake was very attentive, again as always. It was busy but the staff always check to see if the food is OK or if anything else is required. I'd highly recommend the Aylesbury branch. Great value, great food, great ambience.
