A gardeners delight. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived, and the tea and cake on arrival was most welcome. The Tea Bread was fantastic, and David will give you a recipe book for a modest donation to his favourite charity. The beds (and pillows) were most comfortable, and our rooms overlooked their extensive garden, a peaceful way to relax. The area boasts some excellent restaurants, and lots of places to visit. So highly recommended, and I endorse the two other comments of Mar 2009 also posted here. You won't do better than this.

Looking for a Bed and Breakfast with a little extra? Well look no further, we stayed at Hartwood House and from the minute we arrived to the one we left, we were made to feel special and welcomed. The breakfast was fantastic, really good quality and the tea/coffee and cake on arrival a lovely touch, beds plenty big enough and comfortable. Coupled with the location and the fact that it's good value for money there is little more to add but a great B&B owned by a lovely and welcoming couple.

I have visited the Hartwood House at least 6 times since 1999; Spring, Summer, and Fall. The best English experience that you will ever encounter. If you are a gardener, then this is the place to visit and the cooking is the best in England. The best money that you will spend in England. AW Floyds Knobs, Indiana USA.
