Built in 1896, the Town Hall Theatre is a beautiful Victorian/Gothic style theatre and has an exciting entertainment programme. Over this time it has introduced many generations to the delights of live theatre, both as spectators and performers.

The Theatre seats up to 400 and has its own stylish and contemporary bar. The facilities are extremely versatile meaning it is ideal for most events.

Complete with stage the Theatre is also an unusual venue for special occasions such as Gothic, Victorian or Theatrical style weddings...

We went to see the globe exhibit, which was fantastic. Access was on two levels to be able to see the both hemispheres. The staff were very welcoming and explained clearly the layout as well as the issues with darkness. The venue is great, but some of the seats could do with some reupholstering.

Incredible experience visiting the globe exhibition with a pay-what-you-can format ensuring cultural experiences are accessible to all. Loved the versatility of the space as enjoyed a fantastic performance of The Adams Fanily the previous month. Would highly recommend as a venue :

Just been to see GAIA ...what an amazing piece of artwork.. The staff were just as great,even laying on the floor with me to look up at the world....so very friendly and helpful Been to many a show here and have never been disappointed.
