There is no personnel visible and children fighting outside the school. It sounded terrible to talk to parents and kids who were listening to opinions and experiences. Employees find it difficult to control kids' behaviour in the classroom, let alone after school. Children with disabilities and others who are vulnerable are targeted on school grounds, and it is alarming that inexperienced teachers do not show empathy for their kids. The school must move quickly to replace inexperienced teachers with qualified educators who can differentiate instruction for students with special needs. To be honest, I think schools might do better by teaching kids of all ages to accept others' needs in a group setting instead of having more events happen on school grounds. In addition, parents ought to be responsible for their children's upbringing and impart knowledge to them instead of viewing school as a place of free babysitting facilities.
This is an honest review. I attended this school in the past and it was the most traumatic experience in my life. This school did not take mental health or bullying seriously. When I moved schools, I was so much happier and achieved A* grades - clearly I wasn’t the problem? The school is. The school did not make me feel part of the community and they only included the popular kids funny because they were the bullies. The only good thing about the school is the English department. Therefore, I’ll give it 1 star for that only.
If anyone is thinking about transferring or sending their child to Harris Academy St Johns Wood please do not. This is the worst school my child has experienced of their life. Firstly, I would put the blame on the teachers as they do tolerate the bullying and have basically zero expectations towards bullying. The amount of students in this school who bullies each other and says unkind things to each other but yet the teachers do the minimum to punish these students is so concerning and embarrassing. The bullying doesn’t only involve unkind words but also discrimination and racism. My child or whoever’s child should never ever feel as if they need to leave the school because of the teachers not taking on board the behaviour of other students. Furthermore, the teachers in this disgraceful school pick and choose their favourite students, which is honestly unacceptable and unfair. This school is the type of school to be more focused on the students uniform more than their actual behaviour. I have no doubt that other parents who have sent their children to this school would also agree that the other students in this school are ghetto, have no manners, and have 0 commitment to their education.I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend this weak school. I will certainly be contacting OFSTED and the Education department in Westminister. Very disappointed.
I attended this School when it was Quinton Kineston back in the day 1980 found it ok but was bullied as I was in Foster care I did have two fantastic teachers Caroline Scott & Duncan Skills. Is a shame it was demolished but Time moves on
Can't believe what has happened to my school i left with nothing in the 80s the teachers were excellent and very caring as i had many issues however i went to college.and then did some time on hmp came out and turned my life around i ended up working in the music industry now at 50 years old i run a bike shop called rockstone breakthru aimed at people with disabilities and kids fixing hiring and selling and all things related. If i can u can. Wonder if my graffiti is still in the basment?
