Really good service, part of my order was out of stock, but they let me know and delivered the order when it came in. The lady on the phone was also really helpful.
Rang and spoke to a woman in sales regarding purchase of sleepers some to be cut by them. She advised to email with requirements so I did this on the same day. Didn't receive a response so emailed again 9 days later - had a response from a man who advised on the price for cutting the sleepers and delivery - I confirmed and asked for somebody to call me as I was unable to get hold of sales myself. I never received a call so rang and was advised by a woman that they didn't cut sleepers, I told the lady that I had been quoted a price for cutting them and she said that she would get the man who said they could be cut to ring me. He never did ring me. The website still says that they do cut sleepers.
Really disappointed with my recent visit to Harlestone Supplies... I have previously been very satisfied but think it must be under new management. I went looking for some inspiration for my front garden - there used to be examples of bespoke planters, fencing, benches etc. displayed in front of the building and you could wander round and look at the wood. Now there are just bags of aggregate and whole placed looked untidy and unloved with random bits of fencing wooden and plastic and some very tired planters full of weeds! Previously the staff seemed to know all about wood and what you needed to do a job, quick to give you a price and lots of good advice. Staff were friendly enough but more interested in chatting than selling; not at all helpful in trying to sort our what I wanted to buy. I left empty handed and probably won't be returning.
BEWARE. They are liars. Customer Service is non-existent. Placed an order 11 weeks ago, been messed around with delivery ever since. Finally after the third promised delivery date, I waited in all day yesterday. Once again they never showed. I phoned the store and was given some bull about deliveries taking longer than usual. The lady promised to make mine the first delivery at 8am on Saturday morning. once again a no show, so I phoned the store where I was told yet more lies and abused on the phone by their customer service. They finally agreed to load the truck and deliver to me. when they arrived, they were asked if they could put the fence in the garage as our workmen were not at the house today. They refused and stacked the items against the garage wall !!! Shocking service, I will not be using these again. I have many builder friends who use Wooden Supplies, I will make sure in future they go elsewhere. With service like this I doubt your business will survive much longer at a time when you should providing a first class service to your customers.
My husband phoned up to order some playbark at the end of last week for delivery the next Tuesday. He provided payment details and thought everything went through ok. That Tuesday he phoned up to get an eta of the delivery as we had arranged our landscaper to come and do a day's work and we were told that the payment wasn't processed. So my husband provided payment details again and were told the next delivery would be Thursday. Phoned up again this morning to get an eta of delivery and were told for a second time that the payment was not processed and that we wouldn't get delivery until next Tuesday! Very frustrating for us, but also for our landscaper who has now lost two days worth of work!
Im afraid I found the exact same fence panel at B&M for a fraction of the price. Paid £45.00 at Harlestone Supplies and £26.00 @ at B&M. So annoying!!! I'll know for next time and so will you all now.
Amazing customer service and quality products, I had been let down by another supplier after waiting 7 weeks, I was at the end of my tether. I contacted these guys and they were able to help me immediately and I am extremely grateful. Highly recommended A+++++
Not had to buy any fencing materials for years but now have to do a small house fencing project so returned after all this time. As good as ever. Wide choice,very friendly and helpful staff. They know their stuff and seem to enjoy their job. Could not have been more helpful and free Northants. delivery on orders over £150 Quality products at reasonable prices What more could you want.
Very poor service, never answer the phone and deliveries take months!
The staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to assist you. Overall a very good setup.
