Had afternoon tea with my parents here. It's not the greatest looking of places. The tables were a little bit on the cheap side. Half of the room was cordon off with plants and cheep screenings. The service was a little bit on the slow side but friendly English will need to improve for some of the staff as there was a few times of communication but in whole it was OK. The tea was good the sandwiches were nice but you can only order once...£5 for extra. The scones were average but OK, A little bit on the cold side. The pastries were... not that good. But you can order the scones and pastries all you want with no extra charge.
Booked an afternoon tea here on the last day of my 4 day trip to London. Glad I did. Antonin the server was beyond awesome. He not only served us and helled us with our luggage while we enjoyed a few hours there. He also gave us some good tips for our. Extra destination to Paris. They acoomodated switching one of the sandwich for us to a different kind . The scones were absolutely delicious and the best kind I have had. The pastries were OK. The tea too IMO were OK. But I did enjoy the environment. So would I go here again, absolutely and so should you.
Appalling. Absolute chaos. Booked for two for afternoon tea at 3pm on a Sunday. On arrival I asked for a window table and they cleared one for me, this is the only positive comment I have about the entire experience. My companion was a little late but had arrived by 3:10. At 3:15 someone came over to ask if we were ready to order. We said we were and that we were a little short on time. 3:20 a staff member came out with a single dirty pot of tea, said it was a 'pot for two' smallest pot for two I've ever seen and left it on our table with nothing else. Eventually, with our tea cooling and no sign of a staff member, I had to walk across the room to ask three of them, who were standing around looking confused, for some milk. They barely acknowledged me - the maitre'd just giggled uncomfortably. Five minutes later still no milk. We'd been sat with our grotty 'pot for two' for 15 minutes by this time. There were four servers and only five occupied tables for goodness sake! When two servers came rushing out and started flapping around a table for 8 next to us, whilst the other two looked on bemusedly, ignoring all other customers, we decided it was a loss leader. Put on our coats and left. They didn't even notice, so busy were they furiously doing nothing. Awful awful awful.
A good find. Looking for an early dinner before a show. Never noticed it before. Part of a hotel. Excellent set menu.
Amazing food, excellent service and staff.
Terrible food sadly, nice staff...
Good value for money
Very nice afternoon tea
Afternoon tea was as expected and slow as expected. Not suitable for those of us with schedules. All other parts are fine.
