Large park with great collection of grand old trees. I ignored the map and just wandered where my feet took me. Lots to see so allow a good amount of time to be with the trees. Beautiful summer meadow full of butterflies and crickets.
Adore this place. We've been coming for 20+ years with our own kids and now they're older we're able to take our young niece. Paths galore, towering majestic trees, peacocks, squirrels, birds jays and nuthatch on last visits, and a cute coffee place with THE best brownies. Massive recommendation.
Nice place for a stroll a good variety of trees some of which are quite amazing to see. Not huge so can easily be walked around in a couple of hours. May be lovely to sit in when the weather suits. Shame that road noise is quite disturbing in some areas.
Nice and peaceful. Man made park and stick to paths. Good for children and any other generations too. Can be very busy in peak times and not as peaceful.
Great place to spend a few hours wandering around looking at trees and plants, especially in the sunshine! Toilets poor, but understand new ones are being built. Horsebox Coffee Co is great coffee, with tables to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. Picnic tables also available.
Wasn't too sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The family and I went for an afternoon out to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the nature reserve and learning about endangered trees. However, the lady at front desk was rather rude and the plaquards themselves weren't very well written and often repeated themselves. But a lovely place for a picnic or to feel like you've stepped away from city life. PS. the highlight for me was seeing their resident peacocks!
Nice place where to walk. Maples/ acer on early autumn colour. Currently have maintenance ongoing therefore car park looks like mess. Gravel and grass on the walkways. Lovely peacocks on site.
Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, well kept gardens with paths taking different routes through the arboretum. Children have an activity paper to make the walk interesting for them and their parents. Definitly well spent day would really recommend.
A beautiful arboretum with multiple different areas of habitats and tree glades. There's also a small shop/visitor hub and toilet facilities.
Excellent place to take a stroll. Best time to visit is during autumn when you get to see the different shades of leaves.
