Very Happy with the food from here. Have come here my self to collect the takeaway. Food has always been amazing. Tastes great , good quantity as well . The staff’s at the counter are always very friendly. My personal favourite is Vegetable noodles and chicken in black bean sauce. A must try !!
Good food, excellent service, hard to fault. I order from Happy Wok occasionally and usually straight after work. The food is consistently spot on, delivered rapidly and good value in my opinion. They take note of special instructions and the one time my order had an item missing today, they called me back and quickly delivered a replacement. I was really happy with the service for correcting a small issue. I don't understand the negative reviews on here as I have always had an excellent experience with Happy Wok and will keep ordering from them. I was initially attracted by their food hygiene rating of 5, which they still have and is worth bearing in mind too.
To put it bluntly, don't order here! We ordered at 8pm and got a delivery time of 8.35-8.55pm. After 9pm and no update we tried calling, it didn't even ring and just said line busy. I decided to drive there to check the place existed only to be met with disdain and terrible customer service. The delivery had been collected 5 minutes before I got there which by that time was half an hour after the latest delivery time arrival of 8.55pm. They refused to acknowledge the fact this was unacceptable and simply passed me a pack of prawn crackers as consolation and said they were busy. I said I tried calling to check on the order and got told the phone was busy. When I went to call the number to prove it didn't ring through, I saw them turn the phone on. They then started getting lots of calls so I must not have been the only one trying to get through. In short, the food arrived much later than we were told when ordering and they refused to accept any responsibility for this. DON'T ORDER HERE!!
Went down to visit a friend of mine at Southampton University. She recommended the food here and we ordered a takeaway on a Saturday night online through their website. Understood that a Saturday night at a Chinese takeaway store can be busy, especially in a place with a lot of students however, the wait was beyond ridiculous. We ordered at around 6.10, and didn’t receive our food till 7.50. During this time, I went down to the restaurant only to be told the food was already on its way to being delivered. When we did receive the food, it did taste nice though needed re-heating. No apology received from the restaurant.
I've ordered from here twice and both times I've been impressed with the food! It's not incredibly cheap but I'd say you get what you pay for with happy wok, and that is higher quality. Orders arrive quickly placed through a third-party website and the food is hot and tasty. Their portion sizes are also just right for sharing.
The negative reviews simply aren't true. After seeing someone on Instagram post about how good they are, I decided to try it, no regrets at all. Freshly cooked food, they delivered it before the time which is great. Highly recommend.
Never change their food quality since last may. The new owner just to cut down the cost and never improve the service and food. Always made the slow delivery let the food like a stone cold. Even though he always brought the top ranking on just eat for posted the fake good comments. Shame as that shop called Chinese food. Five stars of Rubbish Chinese food in UK!
Ordered various vegetarian dishes and the noodles had absolutely no flavour. We had to cover our food in soy sauce just to be able to eat the food. The most dissapointing part of the meal was the false promise of free spring rolls if you order over 22 pounds. Either they ran out of them or decided to “upgrade” our freebie but they decided to do so with a chicken dish. Even tho they prepared and packed our 5 vegetetian dishes. This is a very big shame as there’s no one to eat this chicken dish and will have to be wasted. Reading previous reviews now I’m not surprised that our food was rubbish. Very disappointed
I tried to speak to the restaurant and they said they won't correct the order i ordered from Justeat. I did not receive the spring rolls advertised as free. The pork wasn't in the pork chow mein. Did not receive the duck dish I ordered at all and was given a horrible sweet and sour dish that wasn't ordered. Called them. they said they are happy to send replacement... an hour later nothing!! Called again and now refuse to address the issues. Staff on phone said the boss doesn't care and that I should complain to justeat and get refund. Very unhappy!
Delicious food and super friendly service. They were also really accommodating with vegetarian and vegan options! They noticed we had an all veggie order and asked rather than just giving us prawn crackers which we really appreciated as it showed they understood what is/isn’t veggie! Will definitely order again :
