I ordered a princess cake from Hansel and Gretel, and it was fantastic! When I reached out a few weeks ago, I didn't realise they were closed for the holidays, yet I was responded to and helped immediately. Which I appreciate, thank you so much! I picked it up today, the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and got my order right away. The shop is beautiful, and all the desserts look amazing. I'd never had this type of cake before, it was so good! And beautiful. I would recommend this bakery to everyone, thank you for making my friends birthday that much more special.
Honestly hands down the best bakery. Claudia and her team are amazing at what they do. Custom cakes? They got you!! Always a 10/10! Show them a picture and they will recreate what you want. Give them an idea and they will exceed your expectations.
We purchased the Lemon Raspberry cake for my mom's birthday. The cake was super moist and not too sweet. The service was friendly, quick and answered any questions without hesitation. Bought a few cakes from them in the past. One I had made for my daughters birthday, and another they just had in the showcase for my father. Both were Excellent. Have had some of the cookies and other desserts there. All really good and for a decent price.Food: 5/5
Have loved this bakery for a long time. Their carrot ginger cake is very favorite. Earlier this year I had to go gluten free/dairy free. I was bummed out that I couldn't get a birthday cake. Hubs have then a call a couple weeks before my birthday and ordered a vegan/gluten free cake. It was an absolutely delicious lemon raspberry cake decorated so beautifully. We are so lucky to have such a high quality bakery here in Maple Ridge.
I asked around which bakery in Maple Ridge was really good. Hansel & Gretel bakery was recommended to me and I have bought a few different things from them that have always gone over well with people. Yesterday, I bought a dozen assorted muffins to bring to a dog agility fun match, for snacks for the people. Once one person tried them, they all disappeared really quickly with rave reviews. People kept asking where I bought the muffins, saying they were awesome! I cannot eat wheat to try the bakery goods myself to test them out, so I was really pleased that I was able to find and bring quality goodies that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. I also bought Christmas decorated cookies from Hansel & Gretel Bakery to bring to my vet office yesterday. They seemed to be a huge hit too. Hansel & Gretel Bakery has never let me down. Everything there seems to be excellent and they have a steady stream of customers that obviously feel the same way I do. Service is excellent too. They have become my go-to place for all things bakery related. Thank you for such a great, quality bakery that makes tasty goodies that taste as delicious as they look!

Randomly saw this place while driving down to some kids farm birthday party. Stopped in on the way back. Easily, top three cookies I’ve had the lower mainland. Do not overlook their Bran muffins. I have been sitting at home for the past four hours, rethinking my life. Also, there’s no tip prompt on their debit machine. sweet 6 lbs. 8 oz. baby Jesus thank you for sending this ray of sunshine into my life.
Adding this lovely bakery to our list of day off places we go to satisfy any spontaneous sweet cravings. We went in searching for a loaf of sourdough to have with a charcuterie for dinner, and an older gentleman customer was just behind us. I asked the gentleman to ahead of us as he expressed some urgency. The customer says to the baker behind the very approachable display of some darn good looking baked goods, says, “If you told me how good the oatmeal raisin cookies were, I would’ve just bought more to begin with!” We took home a slice of orange ginger loaf compliments of the baker, a peanut butter cup, cream cheese frosting cinnamon roll, ginger molasses cookie, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The cookies are serious. The peanut butter cup is choice. Everything we had was a delight. Thank you for your gracious hospitality and welcoming us into your bakery.
Went to Hansel and Gretel Bakery before on a trip to Cliff Falls. We loved it so had to come again. Very friendly service. Last time we thought the muffins, although they looked sweet with the glaze, were actually not overly sweet. This trip we got two chocolate cupcakes and two muffins Strawberry Shortcake and Coffee Crumble. Price-wise, I found the cupcakes to be out of line with the other items. Curious as to why so expensive. I didn’t try them but I can say the muffins were delicious and great value. Apart from two savoury options, the rest were sweet. Next time we will try the cookies Ginger Molasses and Bird's Nest looked wonderful and loaves. Daniel
