First of all it was easy to park. Walked in and immediately my mood lifted. It’s bright and has a cheerful atmosphere. Other customers seemed happy and there was conversation going on between them and staff. Saw 3 staff at the checkouts who were dealing with customers. Waited only about 20 or 30 seconds before I could be dealt with. Very attentive staff took me to the aisle to look for what I wanted. Found one item . The other item was quite specialist and i didn’t really need it anyway and they didn’t have in stock  mind you neither did the big chain hardware store opposite! And in there I had to look for it myself to no avail!. Lovely store! My wife even came out smiling as she’d been browsing around and declared “ they’ve got vacuum flasks and torches”. Will definitely be back. Not often you find a store that lifts your spirits by just walking in. Finally it’s not too big either. The other giant hardware stores I find just too big!

They are always helpful and pleasant. I prefer to shop in smaller places. I find the service on the whole is better.

Did not have what I specifically wanted it was a long shot but a typical independent DIY shop with friendly staff and lots of stock.

Always have what I need unlike the bigger store over the road

Very disappointed. I  bought 2 tins of crown heritage paint at full price only to find that on returning to your shop to purchase another tin to complete my job the paint has been discontinued. So I now have a room I can not complete. I was not told that these paints were being discontinued or I would have bought more at the time. I have used your shop many times and felt that I was getting good quality and great service but I now feel that I will take my custom elsewhere.

My somewhat older parents order and collect  their gas bottles from here and the staff are always very helpful and respectful. Grateful they have this local store to help them out.

Looks quite old fashioned and tired, but a good range of products and excellent customer service. Very helpful people..

Very useful shop,varied stock,at competitive prices,&very helpful staff. Had stock of perspex when other suppliers hadn't!all ways try to support local businesses,or they could disappear & all you will be left with is the internet,an yer can't get the items you want in 20/ 30 minutes!
