Everyone apart from the reception and the nurse in the room where they measure weight and hight were nice people esp Ultrasound group who were amazing.nnRegarding out patients clinic. I arrived for my appointment booked at 9:20 early to be seen on time. I was waiting till 9:40 and I saw a nurse checking for anyone waiting to be seen. So I asked if I need to wait much longer to see if my husband should wait in carpark or if he could leave. The nurse asked me to knock on the Dr's door so I did no one said anything so I knocked again absolute silence. Then after 40 min waiting a nurse very polite one comes and tells that my name has not been registered. So I go back to reception and she again guides me back to were I was. So I get upset explaining how 40 min earlier I came to register and introduced myself but no one registered me waisting my time.nI am really upset I feel like I was discriminate possibly because I am a foreigner.nI was eventually seen by Dr IT gynaecologist not until 10:05 had to wait over 1hr for my appointment. Very disappointednI feel horrible.
From walking into the building I felt safe. Every member of staff was amazing and the level of care I received throughout the day was exceptional. The nurses and healthcare assistants were a shining example of high standard care and professionalism. I felt completely safe in the Anaesthetist's care Mr Denton. The Gynaecologist Consultant Dr Rauf and a really lovely lady ST7 Gynaecologist who performed my procedure hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic explained everything clearly and they were thorough during the pre-op discussion. I was visited post-op for a clear explanation. I have recovered very quickly with no pain or after effects and have felt perfectly normal the following day. I received my agreed follow up appointment within two working days. I would choose this hospital for future treatment.
I had wrist surgery Wednesday 30 2025 from beginning to end I felt safe & very lucky to be treated the way I was. All NHS I came intouch with were caring & professional . My Doctor & Consultant spoke to me after the surgery which I will never forget it was precious, having services & hot meals is a privilege. Respect for our NHS workers is paramount & disrespectfulness should be dealt with as I unfortunately witnessed by a member of the public.nnMr's Karen Clark
If you go endoscopy with a relative be sure to ask how long the wait will be. Friend taken in at 0930 and released at 1330. He was sat in the back of the unit from 0940 while I waited in the waiting room, but his actual procedure that was planned for 0940 did not happen till 1245!nI could have been told come back for him in 4 hours time.nnI get that hospitals can be busy but not communicating such a significant delay is unacceptable and poor service!
First time I've been to this hospital for a Colonoscopy due to Countess Of Chester being overbooked for my yearly screening.nWhen I booked in with the receptionist I was greeted with a friendly smilenWas well informed by the nurse before the procedurenThey do multiple checks b4 the Colonoscopy including in the theatre that you are you to avoid mix ups with patientsnI can't fault any of the staff as they all showed professionalism and care towards all patients from checking in to being released after the procedure
