Good news for Halton residents, HBCouncil offer a free skip service throughout the year, not sure when the next one is but check on the website for Halton Borough Council.
Awful!! They are threatening my daughter who is 18 years old who has learning issues with a fine because she has no NINO so cannot vote. Takes forever to get through been SEVENTH in the stupid queue for the past hour. The answerphone is also completely annoying. Waste of time the lot.
That Mersey Flow thing is a disgusting money collection unit. Poor northerners have no better way to earn. In London you get a warning first time. I have to pay a fine twice for crossing the bridge to go to Tesco. I was first time in the area.

Took my application form and identification documents for the renewal of my disability bus pass on the 10th March 2022, to the Halton Link Centre in Widnes. By the end of March 2022, I had still not received this, so I contacted them just before the expiry date and I had received a email from them on the 3rd April 2022 stating the Bus Renewnal form had not been posted to my General Practitioner until the 30th March 2022. I am not happy with the service that I had received from them and that the Bus pass form should have been posted to my General Practitioner a lot sooner.
Refused COVID payments due to owning my own house. So couldn't provide them with mortgage payments. So was not allegable for that one time grant then the cheeky b******ds telephone me today to see if I need help with payment of bills. Wouldn't pi** on them if they were on fire!.labour council at its finest. W*****s
I always receive 1st class service. Really helpful. Highly trained staff. Waste removal team brilliant. During Covid HBC did not let this affect customer service. The tip was closed for few weeks to organise Social distance etc. Staff at tip very helpful. I honestly can't fault them. Most poor reviews on here belong to Merseyflow. HBC has nothing to do with tolls for new bridge.
Absolutely shocking! Proceeding to build more and more houses on greenbelt when the schools are bursting at the seams! Make sure you check the distance from the school of the previous years intake! 1 mile away from Wade Deacon and you won’t get in. You have been warned.
Shame on you for your blatant theft. I have crossed many toll bridges in my life, in different countries, but never have I crossed one unknowingly. Wasn’t aware that I had used it until I received the penalty notice in the post. Obviously the signage wasn’t sufficient deliberate???, or I would have been aware that I needed to pay £2. The only time I’ve ever been in Halton Borough Council, hopefully the last, to look at a room in a house to rent. Down on my luck, homeless, jobless, sick, and you have extracted £20 from me while I was concentrating on my satnav in an unfamiliar area. Makes me feel even sicker that corporations like you get away with this legally.
We visited Runcorn for the first time this weekend. Whilst in itself the town has plenty of things to attract visitors, with the shops, bars and theatre, the untidy streets and appearance of overflowing dustbins, is very unattractive . The rubbish collection obviously is not up to scratch, which is sad given the people of Runcorn deserve better, with people trying to bring in tourism, with beer and boat festivals and the lovely Brindley Theatre.
