Renovated by end of 2017and removed all customer counters operated by staff.. Only a couple of cash points inside the branch :( very useless branch now and so inconvenient

I tried to pay a bill here recently and was unable to as they are counterless and don't deal in cash. The nearest place I could do this was Slough apparently! If it were an option I would rate it zero stars.

Awful branch, with archaic systems. It takes 45 mintues to transfer from one childs account to a new one. They advertise good interest rates but in reality you waste so much time at the branch (it cant be done online) that its not worth the measly interest. A serve case of "computer says no" with no human touch, no sense, and no customer care. Oh and expect to be hassled for a mortgage review, home insurance, ISA's and more - who has the time! Good place for the lonely! See Sheena for extra pain!

Seems a bit like a "ghost house" - I've been there to open an account and was befuddled by a complete lack of attention or information regarding my issue - a level of service that is unlikely to attract new clients such as myself, despite Halifax' good product portfolio. If I hadn't been recommended this bank, I'd most probably not bother with doing business here.
