The absolute best Halfords. The staff are excellent and the manager is really good and I can see he treats the staff really well. The bike department is fantastic. Remember it is a small store so you may have to wait a little but it is worth it considering the service you get. I have been so many times this year to buy bike parts etc. and they are brilliant. Thanks so much :
I can’t thank Karen and James enough. They were so efficient, helpful and friendly. Karen informed me of the checks available as I’m an NHS worker and I am so grateful as my car is so important during this time so to have peace of mind was so useful. James advised me on what I needed and was more than happy to do it for me with no trouble. Both staff members made me feel like such a valued customer and even stayed after closing time to help me. I’m so thankful
Really helpful staff! Glad they're open so early in the morning. Pothole took out my back tyre on my way to work in the early hours of the morning. They fixed the problem and I was back on the road in no time. Spotted some good bargains in the store too. Highly recommended!
The bike department staff are so unfriendly, to the point that I'd rather travel a few more miles to the next Halfords. They seem to absolutely hate their job seeing that they cannot be bothered to help anyone looking around the shop nor leak even a small grin. One guy didn't know their free bike check up policy, therefore acted very stubborn thinking he knew best. The bikes displayed seem to be very mixed up especially in the road/mountain bike section. Appalling customer service!
I did purchased 2 bikes and was collected from friern barnet halfords branch. The customer service was very bad when i went there for the first time. We two couple went there to get an over view of the cycles, the staff over there asked to check online and order. Then whats the point of Store open for customers??? No one did helped us . We have to wait for my friend to help us to choose a cycle. And finally we got our cycles after 4 weeks of waiting. The cycle seems to be well good while we got it. We couldn't use it for a week and week after one if the cycles chain broked in the middle while cycling. Then i took it to halfords in whetstone. They service team checked and found the brand new cycle was build up with a wrong chain. I was so shocked as its manufacturing problem. My wifes cycles seems to have some chain problems as well, I totally upset with all these and decided to return the cycles back to halfords. I did called customer service and they accpeted i can return the cycles as it is not used much and less than two weeks. They instructed me to take it to any nearest branch and anyone can help me with the return. I took the cycles on sunday to whetstone halfords and the weekend manager said he cant accept the return and have to come back again on monday and they kept our both cycles in the store. And he said he will be there in the store till afternoon and the main manager will be there till 8pm. I managed to reach the store again on monday around 6pm after my work. But the managers already left the store and staff over there was really rude and said cannot do anything unless the manager already left. Its worst ever customer services i have ever seen. Then i did contacted customer service again and expained the situation that no one is helping us to return the cycles as it is the second time in that store for just returning . And one only staff from whetstone who was inside service room don't remember his name one with specs did spoke to the customer service from my phone and he did sorted that for me. He did a great job. As it is small job to do for returning the cycle, the weekend manager made me to come to the store twice and other staff did nothing and didnt even tried to do something.
Very helpful and friendly service from staff at Whetstone branch - Costas and the fitter sorry - cannot recall his name. Sorted out new battery for my car key and fitted it + selection of best oil for 2 cars. Such a shame this branch is closing soon - so useful to have this local service on the High Sheet.
Went in a few months ago. Asked to see a bike on the top floor I had been deliberating about buying for ages, assistant went to the back and got on walkie talkie to what I assume was his manager, he came back and said I can't have a demonstration of the bike without leaving a deposit, was told that is Halford's policy, I then clarified I am not asking for a test ride of the bike, I simply want you to talk me through the bike, he reiterated, not without a deposit. Went to a different store and they laughed and said that's complete nonsense. Not going to say it's down to my appearance. Surely there's another reason why they the manager and this shop assistant would refuse me a demonstration, it wasn't close to closing time or anything like that and I wasn't rude in any way. Are they not looking to sell bikes??? Anyway, my experience put me off ever going to Halfords to buy anything, left a bad feeling. Quite rude, I ended up going to Evans and got a great deal. If I could give less than one star I would.
Smart little branch with a hidden carpark round the back. Well stocked with friendly and helpful staff.
Great Service from James & Karen who were attentive, responsive, interested in our needs. They recommended products for our car which were needed and having purchased them James got the job done with efficiency and professionalism. Thank you very much..we will be visiting again!!
Spent an hour and a half in store trying to return an item. The gentleman was initially rude and dismissive and didn't want to do his job. Once he realised I wasn't just going to leave he became more helpful. My 4 year old daughter was with me and due to how long it took was late having supper and going to bed. The telephone support was useless 55 mins on hold until I gave up. Halfords will quickly go out of business if they dont get their act together. I was going to buy a bike at the time I was there but chose not to because of the experience. On a plus there was a lovely young guy who was more than helpful and really tried to sort my problem out which spurred on his superior to try and help me.
