Absolute useless lacking of any kind of customer service skills bunch I've in recent time had the displeasure of having to of dealt with, came to collect my online purchased order Tuesday midday, the store wasn't busy at all, I went to the down stairs till area to be told to go upstairs after giving my order number, even though there were 2 staff on the counter doing nothing and could have easily gone to of collected my parcel for myself as a paying customer, I then went to the upstairs desk where 2 staff were on, 1 staff in fairness a younger lad was doing a inner tube/tyre repair, and rh other just wrapping up a conversation with an older couple of customers though then didn't acknowledge myself being there waiting and instead went over to another customer who was looking at high priced bikes for sale and I wasn't even said hi there to or acknowledged as waiting, after a long 5 minutes the young lad doing the tyre repair did ask if I was okay there and I explained I was needing to collect my parcel of which I'd been told to come here to do so for, he said okay it shouldnt be long though didn't take any details of my order and continued to do what he was doing and I waited around another 5 if not 10 minutes, with myself needing to leave store for other commitments and becoming annoyed with the shocking standard or absolute lack of customer care or any service to speak of, I then asked the young lad if my parcel would be likely to be found under the desk or else where as I needed to leave as having other places to be and no one seems to be helping me, he then got up finally and asked for. Y order number and description of item and went and retrieved it from a back area in a minute or so, to which I did give my many thanks, but was still annoyed it took so long and for me to have be insistent and to push for some action to be taken at last. I myself have worked in customer service, retail and hospitality and can appreciate when we all have tasks to do and have perhaps at times more than one customer waiting but i myself always acknowledge someones presence and will say I'll be along as soon as once I can and if short tasks can fit between bigger ones then better managing of workload tasking can be dealt with just with some input of thought. I believe some retraining of customer service and care need be looked in to for Pontefract Halfords. I am for the time being left to consider next time I'm in need of a Halfords type service or product to potentially reconsider and go else where, somewhere that values it customers and offers customer care.
Very helpful and approachable staff. The way they communicate with customers is truly impressive. Even when the place is busy, they always manage to take a moment to guide you and clearly explain where to find what you need. Their service feels genuine and natural, not forced, which makes a big difference. It’s clear they put real effort into helping people and maintaining a positive atmosphere. Well done to all the team, both gentlemen and ladies, for delivering such a great experience.
We had dashcams removed from both mine and my husbands cars and refitted in to our new ones. James did both the removal and fitting and was really helpful and friendly. There was also a lady on the desk that booked us in that was also really friendly and helpful. James fitted the dashcams into the new cars better that they were fitted into our previous cars which was initially done with their mobile service. Would definitely recommend the Pontefract branch. All of the staff there are really friendly. A great bunch
Last week my daughter needed a bike very urgently for the next day for her school bikeability event. Jordan served us and he was incredibly helpful and attentive. We attended at 5pm and he very kindly built the bike for us that evening, and we collected it the same evening. He was very knowledgeable and adjusted the bike so that it was perfect for my daughter. He went above and beyond for us and is a fantastic member of staff. Please pass our thanks on to him.
I purchased a Dash-cam and had trouble setting it up as it was one that connected to my phone. The gentleman who I bought it from came out to my car and assisted me to set it up.nHe was so very helpful I can not thank him enough, fantastic service.nI would recommend this Pontefract store one hundred percent.
