Thanks to Cathy for engineering my tiles collection, so my wife could pick them up from Cornwall. I feel she went over and above what I would expect of service in a large store. I am a tradesman and regularly use Wickes and others. This was by far the best experience I have ever had, even to the point of a staff member helping my wife unload many boxes into the car. If DIY store service medals could be given, then Wickes Taunton deserve to be top of the list. Thanks again to Cathy and team.
Good size store and stock. Some things are a little over priced in comparison to other internet options but you pay for the convenience of getting it 'now'. However their fence panels are brilliantly priced and delivery charges are very good, I recently bought one and had it delivered fairly quickly. Never had any problems with this store and even if I don't need anything it's nice to walk around and look at options.
Wickes, it's a diy builders merchant, bit like the other one called,,,,,but some stuff cheaper,some not so do your homework
got what we wanted .no one to ask for help .it was cheaper .
Ordered a few bits on line. Received an email from a manager Glen saying they couldn't do the agreed delivery date and said it would arrive a couple of days late which was ok. It never arrived so I emailed the manager Glen who never returned my email. I then contacted customer support who called the store on my behalf and advised the manager would call me back within 4 hours. No one called back. A few more days passed and the order still hadn't been delivered. So I contacted customer service again, who contacted the store again. Once again I was told I'd received a call back and heard nothing. Today, almost two weeks after the original delivery date, the order arrived.... with 6 items missing. No explanation as to why! So I'm again onto customer service, who have promised someone will call me within 5 hours. I'm not holding my breath.
Absolutely awful customer service. I visited the store on Sunday morning and asked for some simple advice on what screws they could recommend for mounting a cabinet to a plaster wall. The lady I asked first was polite enough but said nobody in the store would be able to help. I then made a phone call to someone to ask advice when I noticed a staff member stood behind the counter constantly staring at me man with black hair and dark beard so I decided to ask him if he could help me to which he replied “no” while shaking his head. He didn’t even ask what my query was. I left the store in shock at how rude and poor the customer service was. I will not be setting foot in Wicks Taunton ever again. I am not a DIY expert and was left feeling embarrassed and mugged off!
I had a mixer tap go faulty within guarantee. They didn't have one similar so immediately offered a full refund. No need to argue and none of that nonsense about credit notes that you so often get. I'd even bought it from a different branch. Exemplary service from LEE. Thank you.
