I used to use Halfords several years ago and then got a company car so had to stop. When I subsequently moved job and no longer had the car I started using a local garage, purely because I had forgotten how good Halfords were. I took my vehicle to a garage last week for an MOT and it failed because the hand brake was faulty. They quoted me £300- £400 to fix it, an it would have to stay overnight. A friend, who uses Halfords, recommended that I go to them (which reminded me that I used to). I took my car in this morning and Halfords had fixed it withing 2 1/2 hrs and, because it was so easy and quick (their words not mine!) they didn't charge me a penny. Absolutely excellent and Halfords have won my business for the future.

I have been using Halfords Autocentres for years and have had excellent service from both the Hedge End branch and the Swindon branch.
However I can not say the same about the Banbury branch. I booked my car in to have my rear break pads and discs done. After four hours I returned to be told they’d done a break check and they needed doing.
I told them I had booked my car in to have them done not a break check.
I thought it was bad when I arrived at 8am, as they requested and Mo members of staff arrived TIL 8.15.
I’m not sure I’ll be returning to this branch again and I certainly won’t be recommending them to anyone

Very helpful staff and very fair prices. It's always a concern of mine when going to 'branded' garages that all they want is your money, but the customer service here is second to none and the work they carry out is exceptional. Been using these guys for years and have always come away happy!
