I have used Halfords several times & on all occasion they have been really expensive. I recently took my car in for an MOT and they said that the necessary work required to pass the MOT would be £506. I was horrified. I collected my car & took it to another garage, they charged me £185 which also included the MOT. The garage also told me that some of the work Halfords quoted me on weren't  required for the MOT. I was very disappoint, they are not trustworthy & would never recommend them.

Would not use this garage again. Took my car for a full service here and they came back saying it had a long list of issues that would amount to £500 (brake discs/pads, 3 new tyres, coolant change etc) and an oil leak. Took my car to my local garage and all I needed was 1 new tyre and new brake pads which I purchased all for less than £100 including fitting. They also informed me that there was no oil leak. Unfortunately because of this experience I will not be using this garage again. I mistakenly thought I could trust Halfords and have been proved wrong by this garage.

Had an MOT done 2 months before, since have done roughly 1000 miles mostly motorway driving. Took it to these lot for a service. Magically then had 5 MOT failures that was conveniently 500 quid to fix. Had a full service and a new fuel filter as mine was apparently leaking and a carbon clean done. 2 weeks on having done less than 500 miles, oil appears to have not been changed in at least a year, a round the same time it was last changed funny enough. Fuel filter is still p**sing fuel everywhere, MPG like a GTR, the only thing I think they did was change the air filter then had a brew for 240 quid.

A very efficient service and would recommend Halfords. The prices are also very competitive and the special offers even better. Look forward to seeing you when I need something else doing.
