the special lunch £12 for two meals was only we ordered. the meals were just ok. you can not expect too much on £6 per meal. the chocolate junkyard was delicious but just too small portion.
Nice pub with a good beer garden and plenty of parking. Food is average prices but nice and tasty. Might have got 5 stars if had a selection of real ales but had to settle with Guinness.
Went here a few times now had steak pie with vegetables & chips with a pint of Amstel & cheese and bacon burger with a pint of Guinness staff were nice service was good place was nice & clean would go back
Both times we have been the food has been absolutely delicious with very good portion sizes. I had the New Jersey butter chicken on both occasions and my wife has tried the mixed grill and the steak which she loved and they also do a Thai fishcake which as definately worth trying. The staff are lovely too friendly and chatty. My only complaint is the lack of choice with the spirits.. I was very disappointed to find no Southern comfort which has been a staple of every single pub I have ever been in and usually my fallback choice as I usually drink Rum but there was only one type of Rum and no Coke It's a real drawback for me but we shall be back again and I shall try again for a good drink to go with a lovely dinner
Great steaks cooked to perfection. Finally someone who knows how to do a well done steak the first time. Beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. Thanks for a lovely evening.
used to come here a lot but was shocked at the disinterested staff, terrible food and no drinks menu so you haven't a clue what you're being charged for a drink. The Fajitas were burnt to a crisp and the pasta was dry and hard, despite bringing this to the waitresses attention there was no apology or offer to change the food, all we got is a 'Oh' and then she walked away. Needless to say we won't be coming back. Seems to be a running trend that people aren't appreciative of your business and after a year of lockdown you'd think they would welcome you back with open arms but nope, very indifferent.
The pub is cosy and warm which is a positive and most the staff are friendly, lady with short blonde hair and glasses was great. Food is ok. Food service is really slow, like very slow. Over 30 minutes for mains and over 30 minutes for desserts - desserts take minutes to make. I wouldn’t recommend if you have somewhere to be but if you can sit around waiting a while for your food then it may work for you. They looked they were under staffed maybe? But just be honest about that when ordering if things are going to take a while, if we knew there was a wait for a dessert we wouldn’t have ordered one, I think it’s just lack of communication from the kitchen maybe. We were the first people through the door and they still took ages so it’s just a bit crazy to me.
Have eaten here a couple of times. Food is pretty good. Generous serves. Don’t expect any banter or a smile from the miserable bar staff.
Visited midweek lunchtime, lovely fresh food served very quickly, by lovely staff. Nice and fresh and clean. Impressed, big improvement on previous visit some years ago. Have made reservation for Sunday Lunch. Watch this space.
Very nice pleasant place with good food. We have been a number of times and shall continue doing so.
