This is a very popular pub, certainly on a Sunday. Excellent range of roast meals available, and generous servings. All staff worked very hard, and everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Nearby car park is free on a Sunday. The lemon meringue roulade was excellent.
Visited on 05.02.23 at 4pm for Sunday dinner. Table 18. I ordered the Roast beef, other meats available,mashed and roasted potatoes, carrots, peas, cabbage, all covered in a nice thick gravy. Piping hot food as you would expect, and a chocolate brownie cheesecake with ice cream to finish. Glass of fizzy orange to wash it down driving. £13:30 and a tip. Small issue with the desert but dealt with immediately. Plenty of staff to ensure efficient service, food took about 10mins, again, what, I would expect for hot fresh food. Football was showing on the TV screens. I've never eaten a meal here before but I would definitely recommend it and I'm sure I will visit again. Car park at rear of inn, free on Sundays, and I think the Inn reimburse you if you dine in their establishment in the week. I left the inn about 5pm. Perfect, thank you Shireoaks inn.
Went for our Christmas meal and we choose a roast beef meal with mash and roast potatoes, Brussels, roast carrots and parsnips, also Yorkshire pudding, the portions were very generous, the gravy was served on the meal. The meal was not served with a gravy boat, and we had to ask for the horseradish sauce and the condements. Plenty of car parking behind the pub, this is a pay and display car park.
A fantastic pub, excellent menu, friendly staff, a good choice of drinks. Very generous servings of food. A warm atmosphere, you are guaranteed a pleasant time here
Don't visit this place often enough, Don't know why there's always a friendly welcome and a really tasty meal whenever we do go. Lovely family get together New Years Eve and a little family get together of about 12 of us a couple of years ago for my daughters 18th birthday which everyone enjoyed

Went here at 7pm on Thursday and it was very quite, a few of our group ate and the food was lovely and plentiful, the restaurant side was clean, well lit and maintained. We were made to feel welcome. Reasonably priced. Will go again
Lovely food and friendly staff. Menu good choices and their also special board. Lovely atmosphere and was nice meal out with friends
What a beautiful place, took an old family member for lunch, this was his go to pub back in the day and I cannot recommend the drinks food and service enough. Very welcoming and friendly and food was absolutely amazing
