Story

We're building a fairer and more sustainable food system by bringing communities together to support small-scale, organic farmers and food producers. Our award-winning fruit and veg bag scheme has 15 collection points across Hackney.

Our farmers' market happens every Saturday, 10am-2.30pm at St Paul's Church, Stoke Newington Road, N16 7UY. We welcome volunteers on our Patchwork Farm in Hackney and at Dagenham Farm. For more, please see our website.

My housemates and I have been on the Growing Communities veg scheme for a few years now and we absolutely LOVE it. It's so nice getting fresh, organic veggies every week and eating seasonally. Our diet has improved and it just feels good to be doing something sustainable!

I've been a member of the veg scheme for two years and absolutely love my weekly veg and fruit bags. Local, ethical, good for the planet, tasty and so convenient, it's changed how I eat and think about food.

An amazing local veg scheme!!! I can't recommend it enough. Eat beautiful and delicious fruit and veg while reducing emissions and supporting local farmers : what more could you want!

Would definitely recommend! Well organised, very practical, high quality products and no plastic waste as bags get re-used. Wouldn't go back to supermarket vegs now! Also like that it makes me discover some new products I wouldn't have bought myself.
