I had the bacon and sausage roll. Thought it came with a nice Portion of bacon and sausage. I have no complaints about the food. I found it very noisy, But I think that’s the way the building is built. Felt the waiting time for are food was ok, all nice and hot. The staff where Pleasant and it was fairly busy for a Saturday morning.
Such an amazing place, best cafe I’ve ever been in. The staff are super friendly and helpful, even voluntarily bought me some water whilst working on laptop. The food and drinks are lovely and the place is nice and clean. Will definitely return in future for sure!
Excellent coffee. We had the Turmeric Cappuccino & Mocha along with vegan brownies. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. Eva looked after us very well. Definitely worth another visit.
A very nice place for brunch. We had the Salomon bagel which was good but could be made at home. The banana banoffe pancake was very delish. Their coffee is good too.
Great coffee shop located in the MediaCity. It is very bright inside, with large floor-to-ceiling windows making two of the four walls. The interior is done in a minimalist style, dominated by colours like white, grey and black. However, it does not feel hostile. There are two floors, the upper floor is only accessible via stairs, but the ground floor can be accessible on a wheelchair. The music inside is on a louder side, so I don't think it is a right place if you like to read or focus with a cup of coffee. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. You make an order as you come in, pay, and then wait for it to be brought to your table. The service can be slow, but not because nobody cares, just nobody is in a rush. The flat white I ordered was great, very smooth and creamy. The drink size is quite small, but the taste makes up for it. The bake was also great. The prices are only slightly higher than in Starbucks or Costa Coffee, but the quality is superb. Overall, I think it is a great coffee shop for a cup of good coffee and friendly service.
Last visited: February 2023 Regular of mine... local. Hopefully, they will extend their menu to how it was before the lockdown. Check the photos. Some of them were taken before the lockdown. All in all, top place.
Was about to go to Costa when I spotted this place. Ordered a flat white off the bat which was excellently Barista'ed including weighing out the fresh grind. deliciously creamy , good strength and not a hint of bitterness. Eggs Benedict was also tasty and fresh. Fancying something sweet afterwards went for another flat white and a slice of cake coffee and walnut cake. The cake was the only disappointment which came cold presumably from storing in the fridge and a little on the dry side. Otherwise excellent service and I will be back for coffee tomorrow
Visited Grindsmith to grab some brunch before going to see the Van Gogh Alive experience, and after reading the reviews for Grindsmith I was really looking forward to trying their food. The decor is quirky and cool, I liked their wall art and the mezzanine-style of the upstairs. We were told which table we could sit at, and to scan the QR code at the table which would prompt us to download the app I prefer when you can order via a mobile site, rather than having to download an app that takes up memory space, but I digress when we got to the table, there was no code to scan but we saw another table free that had a code, so we asked to move. Once settled at the table and app downloaded, we went to browse the menu and place our order, and felt quite disappointed to find that the majority of the menu was out of stock. I was unable to sample the pancakes like I had intended and hoped, there were no small plates, no cakes. The only things that were available were classic breakfasts/eggs benny or breakfast baps. Surprising for 11am on a Saturday. My partner and I both ordered the eggs benedict - mine with additional mushrooms - and the food arrived in good time, hot and beautifully presented. The taste was sadly not spectacular, it wasn't bad however; just not special. The price for the portion I'd say was ideal though. The coffee was delicious, and of very good quality I just wish the cup sizes were bigger! The overall experience was okay, I didn't leave hungry. I wouldn't race back to Grindsmith - unless perhaps the pancakes were available, they looked and sounded great.
Eggs Benedict was lovely, pancakes were nice. Only thing that I marked a little lower for was the black pudding which was solid. Coffee was delicious too.
Very good espresso, the best I have found in media city, card only though so be warned. Breakfasts are good, better than average, typical modern breakfast menu with vegan options too. Slightly clinical decor, but if that's your thing it's not a problem update: November 22. They've changed the roast, it's not as good
