Really tasty pulled pork! All the mains were good. A bit late and the frozen crepes were chewy. But we would go back again and try something else for dessert.
Found this great little Greek cafe on King Street and the Chicken Giros was delicious! Loads to choose from on the menu.
The place is very clean and tidy, and although it's got some nice furnishings/decorations it just lacks a bit of character. But don't let that stop you from trying this place out. I had a Caesar salad and my friend had a pita wrap, and both were excellent! Good fresh ingredients never fails!
First time we have ordered from Papu’s in Cheadle Hulme, we expected it might be a little late looking at the reviews but it was a sat night and they are new, so give them a break guys we rang to check up where it was and they said it was in its way and 5 mins later it arrived, the food was fantastic, great portions and really tasty! The lady who answers the phone was lovely, polite and had excellent customer service skills, we will certainly be ordering from here again, they are a business that puts the customer first which is rare and the food is top notch too!
The pita gyros is really good. Authentic Greek pita bread and taste. The only downside for me is that they don't put chips in it. During my travels around Greece, I have never had pita gyros without chips, so find it a bit odd but will happily return for more.
If you want a great tasting lunch and you're near St Peter's Square this is the spot. Personally not tried their coffee, but pita breads are outstanding! Chicken taziki is the go too! We usually take away and sit on the square.
One of Manchester's little gems! As a Greek living in Manchester I can safely say that the food there is the closest you can get to proper Greek giros! Definitely recommended since it is not expensive, the food is AMAZING and the stuff very friendly! I'm sure you will enjoy it! Tip: Try the Papu's pita known as "skepasti" in Greece
I placed an order at 6.50 p.m which said on the receipt 40-90 minutes for delivery. At 8.30 p.m we rang to be told it would be with us by 9 p.m. At 9 p.m we rang again to be told it would be leaving in 20 minutes which would then take it to 2.5 hrs. I was told I could get a refund through Just Eat who I didn’t order with and then told to get a refund through their own website. I asked to speak to the manager and was told I could speak to him but it would delay my food even more. When I spoke to the manager he said he was “doing his best”. If you can’t get the food out don’t accept the orders, I was trying to support a new local business but won’t bother again. On top of this my husband is diabetic so we planned that he would eat for a set time. I do not recommend this place. This is not how you treat your customers if you want to succeed and certainly don’t lie when someone rings because their order hasn’t arrived, because you’ll end up having to speak to an even more annoyed person when it doesn’t arrive again! Needless to say I cancelled the order, the manager said he’ll refund me so we’ll see how long it takes to get my money back.
Went last weds and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast around 11.00am . I made a note to visit again as soon as possible. I went on Friday morning at 11.35 am , i was told i could no longer have breakfast as it finishes at 11.30 am . Although there was barley a soul in the place . I was offered a cold breakfast sandwich from the fridge cabinet.. Disappointed I left and spent my 10 quid elsewhere. I went again this morning arrived at 11.29 am and?? Yes you've guess it no serving you after 11.30 so no breakfast. Despite the fact there was not a soul in the place it was completely empty apart from me!!!! Firstly congratulations on being able to be so choosy of who and when you serve breakfast. I certainly shan't be bothering you again ,which is a shame as the 1st time i used you last week i thoroughly enjoyed it and was looking forward to repeating the experience
This place offers something very different in the midst of all the cafes and sandwich shops. Food is mainly produced fresh although there's a good range of prepared sandwiches and salads. It's the fact that it's authentically Greek that makes it different. It's small and you may have to queue at peak times but it's worth it, especially if you are looking for a change.
