I've been to the other grind locations and had no issues, always had friendly staff, today was the first time in the one in the Ridings near peacocks. I think this is my favourite one, it is kind of dark but very cosy and relaxing, the chairs are also very comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. They have good selection of Twinnings tea (reasonably priced) and Yorkshire tea so I am happy as sometimes coffee shops neglect the tea selection, also did not scald my tea so another win there as again, lots of coffee shops do.

Long queue of elderly people waiting for their orders, some had to sit down then come back when their orders were ready. Apparently the table service stopped some time ago but prices haven't gone down to compensate. The staff, although not rude, we're unprofessional and quite off hand and unhelpfully to the elderly customers who, in most cases, clearly showed their discomfort at having to wait for the slow service. To top it all, my large American was tasteless, it was as though only half the amount of coffee was used. If this is the norm there are far better and less expensive cafes in Wakefield and indeed in The Ridings. I won't be coming here again. 05 Sep 17.
