Tiny statue but great story about this dog. Its easy to find. It's opposite the museum of Scotland free entrance which is also worth a visit. The statue is directly outside the Bobby Greyfriars pub. The church yard where he's buried is at the side of the pub. Worth mentioning is that Joanne Rowling used several names of the graves on this grave yard in her Harry Potter books.
The small statue of Bobby almost life-size is situated across the road from the graveyard on one side and the national museum on the other. Lovely story reminded me of the old movie which I used to watch as a kid. Watched it again after coming home. Must see for a bit of nostalgia
Lovely dog and lovely story. Good 5-10 mins stop on your trip to Edinburgh, everyone will just fell in love with the story of this dog. There is a statue of him in the corner of the road. Rub his nose to make your wish come true. There is also the place where he is buried with his owner just behind. A spot not to be missed and a quick one to cover on your way to castle.
Great little statue. A must visit if you are wondering around the city. People have been asked to stop touching his nose as it’s wearing it down. And to remind them that it’s not lucky to do so. It was started by a tour guide.
The famous statue of Greyfriars Bobby, was he a Skye Terrier was he a Westie or was he a Dandy dinmont? We will probably never know. Rub his nose for good luck.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Sick of tourists using his nose as a lucky charm!!! He is an Edinburgh icon and most people from Edinburgh do not rub his nose or touch him!!! Leave him alone!
Cute little statue of Bobby. Make sure to touch his nose for good luck! There's another statue and a tombstone right after the entrance to the graveyard so it was a little confusing which one the correct one is, it is the one outside the churchyard.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It's just fascinating when you here the story of this dog. When he stayed by his owner's grave for a long time inside the Cemetary. We walk around the city of Edinburg and we could never pass this statue of because this is one of the most popolar tourist attraction in Edinburg.
Be sure to visit the legendary Bobby on your visit to Edinburgh but be patient for your photo opportunity he’s a popular boy
