Just about the right size for a quick trip out with the little man: not too small that he's bored after 15 minutes, but not so huge it takes a whole day or you miss something. Café is nice, if a little expensive. Parking is at a premium if there's anything on, but sufficient if there's no actual event going on. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would really strongly recommend it for a quick afternoon with little ones, but kids over 10 may find it a little limited for things to do.

Just had a gorgeous afternoon tea for Mothers day that I would highly recommend. Lovely atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Thank you for the generous gift of some handmade chocolates too. Will definitely return.

Great place to volunteer and learn about growing, eco-building, crafts, woodland management and animal welfare. You'll meet lots of friendly people, and there's a thriving farm shop and cafe plus regular market and entertainment event. I'd recommend a visit, and if you have a family bring them too, there are children's events and after school activities
