Lets star with the sign outside, "Best Indian Restaurant in Glasgow", well for the true best Indian restaurant in Glasgow, keep walking for one more minute and until you reach Mother India! This was the worse experience I have had at a restaurant, quality of the food was not great, wrong meal was brought out first, they refused to take all the food back and bring them all back at once! You can pick this quality of food from your usual takeaway for less than half the price. Our first and last visit, be aware!
I loved the food here!!! The Kadhai Paneer was perfect, not many Indian restaurants here would have the same blend of spices and flavour one would expect in authentic Indian curry recipe. People at service were nice!
If you want something different and not just a usual curry come here tasty and something different, havent been for a year as its an hour away so will make more of an effort
Food was good staff where friendly service was quick no complaints
The portions were huge and very tasty, the staff were lovely and very helpful. So why only 3 stars? 2 reasons:- 1- We had a baby in a pram, we made this clear when we phoned to book and were assured this would be no problem. The restaurant is up a narrow, steep flight of stairs - not easy to negotiate a pram with sleeping baby in. 2- We were happy to settle for a takeaway. Ordered one of their meal deals, didn't wait long at all. When we got home the order was wrong. Did we complain? No, why not? Coz the food was still lovely and plentiful just not what we expected. Would we give them a second chance? ABSOLUTELY we would
“Highly recommended “ We had a wonderful meal, coupled with a lovely house red that paired well with the flavours of our FRESH and TASTY selections!! Each dish was unique, aromatic and mouth watering! Friendly and professional service from the moment we arrived with a cheerful farewell as well left - more than satisfied and plans of returning soon! Could not have had a better evening! Thank you!!
Let me start with food was AMAZING. The staff were not very attentive, social distance in the place between tables wasn't really happening and also staff need to remember that their nose and chin should be covered with their masks. Toilets...could do with an upgrade. Would absolutely get takeaway from them or buy when its a deal again
So disappointed tonight with our food and experience. Such a shame as it’s been great on previous visits. Starter of tandoori lamb chops was dry. Main course portions were very small and not a great deal of meat in them. South Indian wasn’t great, Chasni was a lot nicer. Seems to now be overpriced and not great value for money which is a shame.
Birthday lunch for 86year old father. When staff realised he had decent but limited mobility - immediately set up a new table close to amenities. Throughout lunch staff were super attentive / food @ wine very good. Would recommend without hesitation.
The food is so tasty and the portions are a great size to have some for leftovers! Plus there was a mixup with a coupon and they refunded the coupon amount even though it was a misunderstanding on my side. Really great service! Will be back for my next Indian craving!
