This is me and my wife’s local chip shop among many but this is the only one we go to. Their pizza is delicious and I’m half Italian haha! my wife swears by the chicken burger meal and we both love the fish and chips. Prices are great for this day and age and the old couple that run the place are lovely. Any negative review on this must be a competitor because we’ve never had anything but delicious food and great service from this place!
The price is good but that's the only thing good about it. If I could rewind time I would as I wasted so much time for pigeon meat chicken wings. Some lab made pakora. Alongside with 2 taste ridden battered sausages. The chips were okay. I wouldn't recommend going there at all. Biggest waste of money and time. The most costly thing when you pay for that place is losing your own dignity and possibly damaging your health with the biohazard food.
Last night I got a sausage Supper chips weren't cooked right chips were abit soggy it's better during the day I think Orlando was rushing for some reason the food wasn't nice I wouldn't recommend it at night it's nicer during the day at night time it isn't so nice,, I would like to let customers know please be careful, of what you guys order and the time takes, I wasn't happy with my food, I won't be back at night time
affordable and speedy but not tasty. got a veggie burger and chips for 5£ at 5pm, tasted recently defrosted and was oily and not cooked enough. I like that he asked before putting other condiments on but was unhelpful when I was confused as to why there wasn't a drink included when I saw on the sign outside that there was. Vegetarian options: veggie burger was some sort of inlet type thing with brocoli and other vegetables in it. too oily, a bit moist and not tasty.
Only got the haggis, but great prices and it tasted amazing! The owners were kind and eager to help with anything, and the atmosphere was welcoming and cute.Food: 5/5
My first visit I thought good of the place however I visited today and see first impressions can be wrong! Asked for pizza supper and portion of chips-only recieved the supper. Guy insisted that’s all I ordered.,No problem mix ups can happen. I asked for a portion of chips again. Got my chips,however when I opened bag there were 15 chips in the portion-seriously,so I can’t tell you if they tasted nice as I emptied them on the grass for the local wildlife-truly shocking! Won’t ever be back.
This was the best place I've ever been to! The haggis and it was amazing! The large fish I couldn't finish and the pizzas were so cheezy! Totally reccomend!Food: 5/5
As good as I remember - I used to come here all the time when I lived in Glasgow 12 years ago, and just had to come back. The black sausage and fish suppers we had absolutely hit the spot. I love this chippy.
Rude owner Edit: I understand that but what I can't understand is how giving two extra tissues can cause such a huge loss for your restaurant. And not just that there's a manner to deal with your customers. There was no need for agression. I fail to see how one tissue is sufficient for a box of chips.
Great tasting, much healthier fast food than other places something to do with the oil they use, good variety and friendly owners. Love this place! My favourite is the chilli pizza but fish and chips here are so good too!
