Used this car park for ther fist time this evening think I worked it out. looked like I only had to pay £1.50? but was a bit confused as we drove out it said on the wall. have you post payment stop have you checked out ! It's left me confused even more being the older generation that I am. It's the most definite confusing carpark I've ever had to workout so hopefully won't get a penalty notice from who owns it.
Car park lovely but the payment machine is so complicated for first time users. Don't know how tourists from abroad manage, never mind many UK drivers. There are much less complicated payment machines in many other car parks..Seems like young computer geeks designed this machine with no consideration of how many folk will be dismayed the technology.. Another example of corporate madness
You have to drive down the side road by The Great Hall to reach the car park
Relatively small, does get full quiet quickly, for easier parking payment use the Ringo app
Always get a space. It’s a good location that’s slightly hidden away. It’s perfect to use with RingGo which you can pay to park on the app. The only reason it’s not 5 stars are because the ramps to drive up a very tight, and I’ve never seen any security around.
The payment system is terrible, its like entrapment. My ticket showed my payment to be £5.60 but they took £10.40 from my account.
Whilst on holiday in Tunbridge Wells we parked in the Great Hall Car Park. On return the machine would not accept payment from either of my cards. Have only just realised that in fact it took £6.30 from one card and £10.40 from the other. Daylight robbery. Beware of this scam.
Convenient location. Slightly righty to park if you have a large car. Easy to pay.
Its a bit tight for 'modern' vehicles, however £2 all day on a Sunday is pretty good value.
Car park but no CCTV and the local pot smokers visit it often
