Enjoyed the whole time there, facilities toilets and showers, for us great, we don't want or need anymore, nice pub, the shady oak next door, and a lovely couple run it.
Nice little and very simple campsite along the road between Buxton and Whaley Bridge. The owners are really friendly. The chickens are kind of cheeky so watch your food! The pub around the corner is a definite plus. They serve good food and a nice ale. The area is beautiful and it is close to attractions like Mam Tor, Castleton, Buxton, Chapel-En-Le-Frith, Stanage Edge, etc. Just one mile down the road towards Whaley Bridge you can get English breakfast rather cheap. In Whaley Bridge you can find good takeaways.
Really great little spot, just off the road but you don't really notice it. The gent that runs the place was very friendly. Highly recommend
My girlfriend and I stayed here, it was her first time camping and she loved it. Nice facilities, lots of lovely walks and a great pub next door. The couple who own the site are very relaxed and friendly, they let you pitch up wherever and whenever and are very welcoming. Oh and we loved the chickens when they weren't stealing our porridge!
Toilets, Hot showers and electric available. Otherwise basic but very cheap at £4 per adult
Stayed here one night, wish we stayed longer. Greeted by a wonderful elderly couple with a very relaxed approach. Allowed to pitch our tent where we chose. Hens roam freely which was beautiful and also allowed a fire with wood supplied in one of the fire pits... The showers/loos arnt great but no extra charge and are functional. Defiantly would return and plan to do so next bank holiday.
Lovely campsite, reasonably priced. Hot and cold water, showers, rubbish and recycling bins available.
Sweet and simple campsite run by am elderly couple who are very laid back. Chickens roam the site. Basic toilet facilities but all works well! Pub next door with a nive view of Goyt valley
Lovely, chilled out place, the owners are lovely, views from the shady oak pub are amazing
Such a lovely hidden gem of a campsite We only live in the village but love coming here x The owner are amazing so helpful n lovely x Real Camp fires freinds and beer apart from the sunshine you dont need anything else just sit back n camp xx
