Small but cosy. Has a few computers and a 'community room' with desks - to study in for students etc I presume. Good choice of books. Clean and tidy. Near Golders Green tube & bus stations so easy to get to within a few minutes walk. Lots of cafes and coffee shops nearby too.
I moved to Barnet a few months ago too and this library has been my place of comfort and now brings me nostalgia. There is a few PCs to use or if you have your own laptop you can go to the study area, the WiFi is good here and it’s very quiet and empty usually which means you can focus on what you came to do. Good selection of books, but if you have a specific book in mind you can use Barnet libraries to search and order it to any of the Barnet libraries, they usually come fast. Good toilet facilities, would be good if there was a water fountain as personally when my waters running low I tend to leave but that’s a suggestion for the future.

Librarians are helpful, has a good collection although if you knew once the old children's section it's a bit heart breaking whenever you go to the current one. The old one had the huge space and the windows this one is small which is not such a big deal and no windows at all. This of course doesn't effect the variety of the books only the atmosphere. There is a quiet study room and a toilet in the back.
It is always quiet on a Wednesday afternoon and there is a very pleasant atmosphere in.the library with lots of books to read to the children.
I'm at Golders Green library right now writing this review. It's not a library, it's just a joke. There are only few books for loan. The study area get rented out frequently to whoever willing to pay to rent it. So being told to leave the study area is a very common occurrence which happened few minutes ago. There are only 5 seats in the areas near book shelves, all are taken. Oh and there is no toilet facility during non-staff hours!!! I call it insult, not a library.
Good library. I'm not a member but I was welcomed by the smiley library assistant even if I was there before the opening hours. Quiet, a good place to work, even for one day.
This library is inaccessible now, they make you wait outside and treat you as if you have the plague. Only open one day a week now for collections. They wouldn't take my money to pay for a dvd. Once restrictions are lifted they won't have an excuse to carry on with this nonsense. Shame what has happened to this place since the 'refurbishment'.
This library was great, now terrible, thanks Barnet council another thing you ruined. Went in there the other day it was so noisy. Staff are friendly but this is just been redone to save space. I loved this library before now its just a cramped room. Can I have a reduction in my council tax please seeing you destroyed the library with your cutbacks.
Barnet Council, what have you done? This was a great community hub, had a good range of books and staff that genuinely loved their jobs. Its now a tired little room that looks as if it is still being built, with few books that are old run by significantly demotivated staff that ignore your plea's for help. A sad day.
