Very good organization. Great coach and very friendly and professional driver. We went to Stonehenge and it's an interesting experience. The tour was perfectly on time at the departure as well as for the return trip. A little bit expensive but you have to consider we bought the trip in London.
We did the Leeds Castle, Dover, Canterbury and boat tour with this company and had a great day with driver Jim and guide Mark. Leeds Castle is a lovely Castle, the stop at Dover however was a very short one. But Canterbury Cathedral was amazing to visit, pity we only had 2 hours time there including eating lunch. The boat trip from Greenwich back to London was a but of strange ending of the day, since it was a hop on hop off boat which was packed with people. So we went off it at the Tower already, because we didn't feel comfortable with it.
5 stars for Jim and Aileen: it was a long 11 hour day but they made it really pleasant and comfortable for all of us. Managed to see just enough of Windsor castle and Bath but more than enough time at Stonehenge. Very informative and would say it was a really efficient way to see these 3 sights!
This tour was BEYOND AMAZING! Pablo and Antonio provided so many educational details about all three different places that even the younger kids paid close attention. This was a 12 hour excursion and I could've done a full week! I would absolutely refer everyone going to London to check out Golden Tours and when I go back I will be booking another tour. When you experience the best nothing else is accepted. Book this tour immediately. Pablo, you are the best tour guide I have ever had and I go on many tours. Your personality is so warm and vibrant you made the entire day a blast. Thanks for being amazing.
Our tour guide and bus driver were great. But the tour was too big, so not enough time to enjoy some of our stops. Should explain this before booking. We did 4 stops starting at Windsor, stone henge, another place that I can't remember and then bath. Not a great tour just the 3 would have been better.
Everything ran smoothly. Bruce and our driver Amando were great. Bruce kept everyone entertained. Even other tour groups beside us laughed at his commentary. The sites were beautiful. Got to have well needed resting time in the bus which was also very comfortable.
The night tour bus at Christmas is breathtaking- even if it was minus degrees outside! Golden tours were also extremely accommodating when train strikes led to us having to re-schedule very last minute can't thank you enough! Will recommend.
We have had a wonderful day in London and were thoroughly impressed with the staff of the Hop on, Hop Off bus crew, they were most helpful and friendly. A big thank you for helping to make our day special. I would highly recommend. The Red Route was ideal for taking us from Kings X to the London Eye. Then the Blue Route gave you an informative tour around the popular sights of London. Plenty of opportunities for photos!
We traveled with Golden Tours to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle and had a great day. The tour guide Sandra C. and the driver Antonio were friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome. Two stops in a day gave us time to enjoy the sites without feeling rushed which I think I would have if we had taken a tour with 3 stops.
Me and my partner went on a three stop tour with Golden Tours to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford. Our guide Nicholas and driver Stefan were lovely and were great operators for our trip. Being the last to arrive, we got probably the worst seats on the coach. We were sat at the back, in the aisle and middle right seat of the 5 seats at the end of the bus. This was objectively the worst seats of the whole bus and it caused me to feel very claustrophobic to the point of almost having a panic attack. There was also no seatbelt available to the middle seat that I was in and also no digital screen available like on every other seat. This would have ruined the whole tour experience for me before it had even started, HOWEVER, I mentioned how I felt to our guide Nicholas, and he was able to arrange for us to swap seats with another couple we did try to reimburse them and offer to pay for a drink or lunch, but they refused. Aside from my seating issue, the tour bus itself was fine, they had arranged small bags for trash and had retractable armrests and curtains. Leaving from London Victoria, our first stop was Windsor Castle. It was the shortest travel time of all the stops and Nicholas gave us some history and pointed out some nice places as we drove past both in london still and as we approached Windsor. He didn’t talk the whole time as we drove, I’m not sure if he would have had enough to talk about, but it was nice, he didn’t talk your ear off but he also didn’t leave you to yourselves too much to where you may miss little things. He did this also for the rest of the tour, having some history or talk about things we were passing or where we had just been as we set off for the next place or were getting close. Windsor castle, a short walk from the place we parked the coach, our guide Nicholas got us our wristbands for entry, and we went through the security bag check without him There however was an issue with a mixup of wristbands as one couple had to pay double for entry as another couple had mistakenly taken their entry wristbands, but this was brought up and settled between themselves later. We were able to grab audioguides for our independent exploration of the castle grounds. We were there for about 2 hours, from entry to having to be back at the coach, just a 10 minute walk away. The dollhouse was unfortunately still closed so we weren’t able to see that, but everything else went grand. We rushed a bit through the state houses as we wanted to have time to see the church and head back to the coach, but we were still able to see all the rooms and listen to all the introductory audio files for each room. We were however stopped from leaving for about 10 minutes while they did a change of the guard, but we were still able to visit a gift shop and get milkshakes on our way back to the coach. We also were able to see and was told about by the guide the royal hunting grounds as we exited Windsor which was pretty cool to see. Stonehenge was our second stop, a longer travel time but quite honestly I think I slept most of the coach ride. Our guide once again getting us our entry and leading us to the entrance. I quite liked that we were able to independently tour each place, we weren’t held down by having to stay with the group or keeping pace. We were at Stonehenge for an hour and a half, from entry to coach, and aside from being a little rushed through the history section probably our own fault as we stopped to eat lunch by the stones it was lovely. I managed to nab a souvenir on our way out too, a small £6 bag pin. They also had these small statues and build your own Stonehenge small figures type things, but I didn’t want to spend too much and I had my eyes set on pins from the get go. Our third and final stop on our tour was Oxford, in where we were told by our guide that Oxford University isn’t just one big building, its actually just a collection of colleges banded together to form the institution. For this stop, our guide Nicholas offered a walking tour for us, which we were able to decline if wanted.
