Staff are very nice and a good selection of beers and spirits. I would have given 5 stars, but I had to pass through a lot of smoke in the doorway. This is not very inviting for a non smoker.
Had a meal here today.. the food was amazing very tasty and freshly cooked.. The owners where so friendly and went out of their way to make us welcome.. overall an amazing experience and reasonably priced, would definitely recommend Millie x
We have been coming here for around a year but we haven’t ate as many times as we would like I am writing this review after we both had the hot meat stottie with hand cut chips priced at &6.95 now a lot of places claim to do real hand cut chips but these guys do they are absolutely outstanding served with a generous hot beef sandwich with lashings of real gravy like I remember it, couple this with welcoming staff in a pleasant clean modern environment you have the perfect combination I recommend you give it a try it is an excellent bar/ restaurant thanks guys from Andrew and Dawn
Took awhile to order food and drinks as only one staff on. The meal came quick enough, ordered hot meat stottie.. chips were fab,unlike the beef, chewy and bit tough. Will still go again but try sumthing different from menu.

Great place good beers and and lager good meals. Definitely a better place now. Been several times and will now go back whenever we are up houghton
Tell ya what had a cracking night in the white for the match. The owners are really trying to have a good atmosphere , free grub and drinks . We'll done!!!
We had an Amazing Christmas Day thanks to all the staff.The meal was outstanding, couldn't have wished for more.Will definitely be booking for Christmas day next year.If New Years Eve is half as good ,it will be an amazing night.Thankyou.
Had my daughter's christening party here today after the church and all I can say is WOW, they had sectioned off a separate place for us and the food was amazing. All of the staff were so helpful and nothing was a problem for them. I would definitely recommend this for any functions you have coming up. Thank you for helping make this a special day for our baby girl
My favourite pub in the area, absolutely love the staff they are wonderful
