Food took ages to come ,was cold ,salt & pepper chips were tasteless & soggy ,feeble portion size was worst I’ve ever experienced from a takeaway.

Sorry guys sweet and sour chicken was bland and rubbery.  Large spring rolls didn't look or smell to great straight in the bin sorry  Salt and pepper ribs dryer then dry  £30 spent very disappointed.  Even the bottle of coke was warm

Nice food,good portions enough for the next day. Have tryed other take outs but always go back to golden house.  Parking: Park on street

We have been going to this Chinese very early 2011-13 it changed ownership and the food went down the toilet, we since decided to give it another go a few weeks ago and it proved to be the same as it was when it was taken over, the salt and pepper ribs and chips were the worst I’ve ever eaten, hard dry and tasteless , the egg fu yung was dry the beef in black bean was bland and for £25. I would not recommend this takeaway to anyone I would rather starve than eat from there. It’s at you own peril if you decide to eat from this tasteless takeaway, I’m sorry to leave this review but I have to say something to the owners who seriously need to look at what food they serve up at a ridiculous price for such bad food.

I have not had a bad meal from here yet, always plenty of meat in their dishes and plenty of flavour.only down side is a bit expensive, however with the amount of meat you get in the meal I suppose it is to be expected.  Just going to finish last nights beef and mushrooms for breakfast.

The loveliest staff, really sweet can have a good laugh. Super helpful as well as quick and efficient, never had pie before and when i had one never tasted something as nice. What a wonderful little village chippy this is. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Lisa in particular always welcomes me with her lovely smile. It can get very busy so waiting times can be long but it is so worth it as the food is delicious. Sharon the owner is an asset to the community and she takes the time to greet her customers even though she is run off her feet as she is so busy. She knows her regular customers orders off by heart which is a lovely touch. I have called previously and said "I'll have my usual" and she's remembered. If your in the area visit Golden House. You will not be disappointed.

The food is brilliant but the price is excessive. Other takeaways that I use include chips, boiled rice in with the meal, this take away charges separately for everything. Our bill was a whopping £37 for 3 people. That was 3 main dishes, chips, boiled rice, beansprouts and mushrooms. Even in a Chinese restaurant I would have thought that on the top side.

30 Aug I placed order on  Just eat for, Sweet chili crispy shredded chicken,fried rice and salt & pepper chips . I recieved it ,Salt & pepper chips ,may aswell of just given me portion of chips. My sweet chilli sauce to accompany my chicken was Dark brown instead of a lovely Red colour . Ordered from here before and never had any problems . Wont be ordering anytime soon what a waste of £15 odd including delivery

Food was unedible,salt and pepper ribs were rock solid.Blackbean sauce had a strange taste.£20 pounds worth of food straight into bin.Disgusting,Avoid at all costs don't waste your money here.
