Really great experience at Goddard's over the past week. Our cat suffered a bladder blockage and we rushed him in on Thursday evening, the doctors took great care of him while he was there, called me every day and explained his after care well. He stayed there for 3 nights total, the bill was to be expected with the amount of care he had. Make sure you have insurance for your furry friends! Thank you to everyone for looking after our little man
Very good with my pets however disorganised reception with no actual receptionists meaning you had to wait for a vet or nurse to finish their appointment to check out or in. When you finish your appointment your vet is not the one taking the payment leading to long wait times. But as I said, amazing handling of pets and have a real care for the animal.
I decided to use Goddard's after my usual vet was unable to take on a rescue kitten I had adopted. Very impressed with the staff and the service. Will be moving my other cats over to Goddard's asap.
AVOID THIS VET GROUP if you care about your dog Like many others negative reviews on here, I too have had an APPALLING EXPERIENCE with Goddard's They put profits and £££ before the health and well-being of living-beings. Their level of NEGLIGENCE has been off the charts. They seemed to think my dog having internal bleeding was not worthy of immediate attention by a vet, and told me to monitor him and feed him bland foo - which is what you ONLY do when they have diarrhoea NOT internal bleeding issues! The issues were caused by their failure to notify me of the risks posed by Meloxidyl painkillers. They are now trying to scrub their hands of any fault. Because of this my dog carried on suffering for another 17+ hours and deteriorated in that time. Eventually a vet came on duty who could see he needed immediate medical attention via the images I emailed them. However now the you expect me to pay 4 figures for their appalling services.
Impossible to get an appointment- called 3 weeks ago and left a message, no one has called back! Had to call the emergency line where someone was then able to provide an appointment after I complained. Have since gone elsewhere.
Went out of their way to assist with an issue my 1 year old dog Snoop had. Raoul at reception remained calm and helpful despite my rantings and resolved the issue very quickly. A very big thank you to Raoul and the nurses at Wanstead for helping Snoop.
Usually this place is great but took my cat in and was seen by a male vet who was unfriendly and judgemental.
love this place. My Mysti always well treated, friendly and helpful staff.
EDIT: previously one star review for very late cancelled operation and only solution was a six-month further wait for cat castration, meaning six months of an indoor cat and possible behavioural changes. However, within a couple of hours after formally complaining, they had rearranged to go to another vet practice in their group at exactly the same time/day. At both the initial call and subsequent call they were very apologetic and kind - mistakes happen with booking etc, but you can only be judged on how you deal with it and they sorted very quickly!!
