Best Friends

From the second i walked in i got greeted by friendly staff who welcomed me in. You pay for what you get here, some things can be expensive but worth it because of the service they give. Such friendly staff who are always more then happy to help whenever i phone to book an appointment or pop in to buy my cat food. Clean and tidy practice would recommend to anyone looking for a vets

This place doesnt even deserve one star......the care and compassion is below zero,the staff didnt even bat an eyelid when they told me my family pet had passed away. Please avoid at all costs!!!!!

Do not take your pet to this vets if you care about its well-being! I had a Groupon and then they made me pay on top of it saying it was for the painkillers (surely that should have been included in the spaying). The spaying cost £60, Groupon selling for £40 and they made me pay another £20! What was the point of the Groupon? To top it all off they told me one of my cats had 'taken a swipe' at the other (never happened before, and not since). I thought nothing of it until I got home and saw not a scratch but a singular medium sized bite mark on the top of her back leg. The other cat hasn't got a mark on her. Both very placid kittens and from seeing the damage done I can't picture the injured cat just taking the apparent attack without responding! I know my cats!

Lovely and helpful staff that do everything possible to make your animal a bit happier about being there

I took my elderly friend to her vet at Best Friends with her cat who was ill. The vet was a temp. He was unsympathetic and said rudely to her was she making sure the cat had all the prescribed medication every day. My friend who is in her nineties, quivered with fear and said she was trying to, but it was difficult. The vet said in that case if he was having all the meds there must be something else like a tumour or kidney disease and the only possible procedure was euthanasia! I was so horrified with his attitude that I suggested to my friend that we went away and thought about it. I contacted my own lovely vet, who adjusted his medication and the outcome was that the dear animal lived happily for another 18 months.
