My daughter and her friend had the misfortune to use this company. What should have been a quick 6 minute journey was dragged out to nearly an hour. The driver scared the life out of them by driving erratically, down dark country lanes, and then said he couldn't find our address. Both girls were in tears by the time they got home. He even drove past our road, but refused to stop or turn round when my daughter told him to. No apology was given. Go Carz have now had the cheek to charge them for the hours journey. I will now be reporting the company to the local council. Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers especially girls. Avoid like the plague!!!
The taxi ride from our hotel into Shrewsbury was fine although the driver didn't seem to know where we were going, he was also distracted by doing training calls for another driver. I asked him to collect us from the same place at 11.30pm but nobody turned up. I was left stranded in the middle of Shrewsbury with my 12 yr old daughter surrounded by drunk people ....not impressed. When I tried to call Go Carz it was an automated service which said there was an hour wait. Unacceptable, would not recommend. Had to give one star to review but not deserved.
THE WORST! Pre booked and pre paid in the morning for a taxi later that evening… the time came when my taxi was due, they hadn’t allocated a driver to me I had 30 mins to get to my event… 15 mins later, still no driver! I phoned to chase as my party was now going to be late to the event, the operator huffed and put the phone down on me before I’d finished speaking! We had to cancel our booking and I drove to our event myself. This is not the first time this has happened to me by Go Cars , Just a terrible customer service and extremely unreliable
They tell you a 4 minute wait if there's a taxi outside or there 2 hours away. I get taxis everyday and often book atleast 5 taxis a night for groups and couples. I have to warn people to pre-book hours in advance and even then there's no promise. Surely there has to be better then this, if you have do something important do not rely on them. The only bright side is it's so bad, it makes me walk everywhere
Moving from the City to Telford was a refreshing change and love it other than ...THE TAXI companies around here Boy! I booked an hour in advance and still waiting. System is shocking so really surprised how they keep business here All the drivers agreed even with me how shocking the app is and the booking system A lot of them can't wait for Uber themselves ... And my reply... Mate so can't I !!! These companies can wave goodbye when Uber or bolt arrives let's hope the drivers are also ready for the Graft
Once again made the terrible mistake of booking with this firm. Pre booked taxi to station giving them 15 minutes extra to get there on estimated journey time. Showed up 20 minutes late. Spoke to control twice whilst chasing car, not a single apology made. Driver also did not apologise and instead blamed me for my location and told me in future I should drive myself to the station. Delightful. Missed my pre booked train and currently hoping not to miss my plane.
The pre booked taxi was late, didn’t actually arrive at my address and after I wandered around the estate trying to find the vehicle it just stopped in the middle of the road. The driver then proceeded to ring their controller to ask for a price and directions to the destination. Disgusting service and extortionate price for the relatively short journey! Would not Recommend DO NOT USE!!
I will only give them one star because the Taxi eventually appeared 30 minutes late without a word of apology for going to the wrong place. Calls to the company were answered with untruths and vague responses and the stock response of 'Download the App'. An apallingly low level of service but allegedly the only company in town. Save yourself the hassle, anger, high blood-pressure and bare-faced lies and call yourself an Über, you might have a chance of the Über driver appear at the right time, at the right place and take you to your intended destination or take the bus. Go Carz are not worthy of anybodies custom, let them die the death they so richly deserve and be as inconvenienced as the paying customers that they treat so badly.
Pre booked a taxi for 11.30pm, at 12.45am we were still waiting, stranded in the middle of nowhere. Another couple had called for a taxi at 11.30pm, for it to arrive at 11.50pm, when we called to query this, we were told that there was no hierarchy on bookings. What is the point in booking then? We had paid when we booked also, but the rude customer service rep insisted we hadn't, but our bank statement said otherwise, and why would we have to claim a refund if they hadn't taken our money? Do not use this business if possible. Will be taking this further as we feel our safety was jeopardised, stranded in the middle of nowhere. Luckily a friend was kind enough to take us to our destination in the end.
Terrible customer service. Myself and another man were stuck on the phone to them for a very long time. I was told they don't take bookings from foreign people. He specifically meant my Irish phone number as I was travelling to the UK for the weekend. Very poor and discrimatory choice of words. After 10 minutes he agreed to send me a car. Very poor experience overall. They seem to have bought out the other taxi providers in Telford so I probably just...won't go back to Telford.
