Lots of stock and very friendly, helpful personal service. Always my first stop for hardware / diy needs.

Traditional ironmongers/DIY shop, packed with items, at least one of which I was unable to obtain at a nearby DIY chain.  Well worth a visit. You will receive personal service from the proprietor who knows his business.

Quintessential old school DIY store with a massive variety of fittings, tools, cables, connectors and equipment to cover all tasks. If you can't see what you need, the proprietor invariably finds it squirreled away somewhere you haven't spotted.

Very knowledgeable and always happy to help. Surprisingly well stocked too, I've gone in several times not expecting them to stock an item, only to be pleasently surprised when the owner appears with the item after a quick rummage.

Well stocked and prices lower than anywhere else around

This is the best DIY shop I have been in. The gentleman who runs it is incredibly helpful and it was a pleasure to shop there. It really is a treasure trove of those items you may find difficult to buy elswhere.
