Excellent Aladdin's cave of a local hardware store. Friendly and helpful staff keep things ticking over fast if you know what you want and are full of expert advice if you don't.
I love places like this. Old school hardware stores. They sell all the possible things you could need to do a bit of home DIY and the staff somehow know where everything is. The only thing that's missing are high shelves that need a ladder to get up and David Jason or possibly Ronnie Barker
Leaves the likes of B&Q standing. Absolutely brilliant hardware & DIY store with extensive range of top quality items & really friendly & knowledge staff. Surprising just how many things they sell. And with Cliff's you are sold just what you need at a reasonable price. Not a 50 pack of screws you'll never use when you only needed a dozen. Hope they keep going forever I'd be lost without them.
Cliff's is everything a neighbourhood hardware store should be: an Aladdin's cave packed with all sorts of useful stuff. The staff are amazing -- providing great suggestions for practical and inexpensive solutions to tricky problems.
Went to get a grub screw for a loo holder that can’t be found anywhere, everyone said I need a new holder until I visited Cliff’s, not only did the gent kindly offer the right grub screw but went the extra mile trying and testing the screw. Brilliant place and shall definitely be retuning should I ever need too. Thank you Cliff’s.
These guys were just great. There are too few real hardware shops around these days so it makes sense to use them or loose them.
What a lucky find this shop was! We found ourselves with a cabinet that didn't fit, due to the manufacturer incorrect information. We brought the piece down to Cliff's and withing the hour, they had it cut for us... No payment asked. No doubt we would be going back for any DYI needs from now on!
Cliffs have been helping me with all my DIY needs for 10 years. Amazingly helpful staff and a genuine independent local business. Great prices. Get yourself to Cliffs before thinking about Wickes, Homebase, Screwfix etc. They also have a superb timber and timber cutting service.
Excellent little hardware store, staff are helpful and friendly...
As a young bloke living close to this shop in the early 80’s I often used to chat with Cliff and his wife, gleaning advice on many aspects of household repair and maintenance from their vast archive of a lifetime’s experience. It used to amaze me how they knew so much. Their shop was more than a shop. It was a font of good will and knowledge. And, guess what? It still is! Well done to everyone who works there - the legacy is secure!!!!
