This is a great pub and well liked and supported. I would give 5 stars for food but they only do food on special nights i.e. Burns night supper, whisky tasting. Easy to drink a "few" here and especially good guest ale on tap. Top shelf whisky crawl is something else too!Service: 5/5
Local pub, small homely welcome. Attended to see "where's Johnny " band great set, good vocals. Had a good night out highly recommended.
Great traditional local pub.Service: 4/5
The selection of beers could be a lot more varied. Only one cask ale when I visited and the rest were usual beers that you can get everywhere. The bar staff was polite and helpful.Service: 5/5
Charged £12.50 for a double vodka and orange gin and tonic. 1 hour later when I can back charged £14.50, land lady told me she gave me a single gin last time, maths did not workout, therefore a double gin is £4, and possibly double voddy is £4, therefore 6.50 for the gin and orange. I have been here a few times since I moved back home, enjoying the variety of guest beers and tolerating the farting, malodouros, locals whose every other word was a profanity. Not again, too many better pubs in walking distance.
A busy Saturday evening when a band were playing in the bar. Very nice staff, rushed off their feet but still smiling. Pub too small for a band but there is also a lounge bar to go into if you want a seat with a quieter experience of the music lol.
A proper Local. Friendly atmosphere. No trouble and well kept bar. Keep up the good work Guys. They even make Jocks welcome.
Our family had a wake at the Gipsy Queen on Thursday just gone, Clive and Jo were amazing, never been hear before but they put on a good spread, free credits on the Duke box for us they couldn't have been more friendly or efficient. Thank you for a great send off in such difficult circumstances IE: Covid. You did us and yourselves proud! Highly recommended. Thanks again
Local called my disabled girlfriend a cripple for no reason and the bar staff stood up for the local. Despicable behaviour. Awful people, would never recommend anyone go there
My first time at the Gypsy. There was a brilliant band playing and I had a fantastic night. Love this place
