Had lunch there today. Very friendly welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall the food was very good. The only comment I would have to make is that it seemed the eggs are griddled rather than fried which results in a brown skirt around the egg which was too over done for me. But this is only a personal opinion, and did not reflect the food in generalnWe had a shared starter which was excellent and my husband had the steak pie which was exceptional. Lovely ambience and very clean. Would highly recommend.
The George Hotel in Cranbrook is absolutely stunning — a beautiful historic building that’s been incredibly well maintained. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptional, welcoming and always on hand whenever needed.nnMy room was large, quiet, and really well equipped, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay. I also had dinner at the hotel and the food was amazing, served in a truly beautiful dining room that added to the whole experience.nnA wonderful stay from start to finish. Highly recommend.
What a lovely hotel and restaurant we had dinner last night before a carol concert. Wow the Sausages and Mash and came with a jug of delicious gravy. The service was exceptional and it was a very enjoyable few hours. If you’re in Cranbrook definitely the place to stay overnight and enjoy the lively bar with an amazing kitchen team producing 5 star food, what is not to love.
The staff were so accommodating as I arrived late from Benenden Hospital, the kitchen closed at 9pm and I arrived at 8.45pm.nThe food was delicious, portions are big!nThe room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom could do with an upgrade, especially as I was in a superior room.nOverall I had a restful stay with very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.nThank you
Popped in for a drink. Loved the menu. Great selection of salads. In our experience this is fairly limited in most venues. We both enjoyed the lamb salads and sat outside in the sunshine. The wine and shandy was excellent as well as the salads. We did not have to wait long for the meal to arrive. It was ashame that it felt like a chore for the waitress when we asked for the condiments and vinigerettes.
