Very Comfortable room, Great view over looking gardens. Food very good. Restaurant a bit cramped, needed better organisation. Entertainment fabulous Abba & Rod exceeded expectation. Good atmosphere and couldn't fault the staff. The night manager was brilliant, very hardworking. Nothing too much trouble for him. Hotel well positioned, close to main town. Look forward to swimming pool reopening. Just a fabulous few days. Definitely recommend and return. Thank you to all involved in our stay.
Came for family get together. We all had comfortable rooms, and good bathroom, excellent breakfast and meal. Fantastic staff. Good value. Hotel well positioned close to main town. Just had a lovely weekend at an event at this hotel which is in a great location. The rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable.The staff are fantastic!! They were so helpful and friendly, especially the night manager Sam. He is a lovely man. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team.Rooms: 5/5
I loved the location of this Hotel, the building photographs very well, boasting its faded grandeur inside and out. on the inside it is in desperate need of a revamp. It is clean,dust free,clean bathroom and kettle etc, but the curtains could do with a change as you could see loads of spills on them. The bed was extremely comfy and I slept very well, the staff were friendly and helpful. Although our shower didn't function properly the morning we left Alex and team dealt with it very well. I would definitely return and bring the kids too
Quite a old hotel in the need of updating. We were located on the 3rd floor. Lift Was not working and it was very hard to remember how to get to your room, after the 3rd attempt we got used to the many staircases and doors. Not suitable for wheelchair uses or unstable guests. Our room looked like it had been updated We did not stop for breakfast as we had to head off the next day, we mainly stayed here as it had parking at only £5 for 24 hours and allowed dogs too
Lovely hotel room good size and clean. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Only down side queing for meals 1 queue for all 3 courses so took a while for meals. The bar also long queues taking 15 _20 minutes to be served.Rooms: 3/5
Just returned from the Clifton hotel after a weekend break with Caladonian travel. Excellent value for money. Room was large and spotlessly clean with spectacular views. Staff were hand picked, and exceptionally pleasant, could not do enough for you. Food was good, and the tribute acts entertained us well . Our stay was much appreciated and we would definitely like to return one day soon.
Don't be mislead by the website most rooms are very poor standard draws not opening doors not closing and some are cold. Dining room far too small for the hotel. We were given a sitting time and our party was split. Not much choice on food it was hardly warm and one night was cold carrots were still frozen in the middle. I was with the music festival or I would have left. Only cake for desert. A friend of ours was gluten free and ate out every day.
Stayed at this hotel a couple of times. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Sam. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay again Rooms: 5/5
Made to feel welcome from the start on arrival.hotel was warm clean very well appointed rooms will have no hesitation in returning in the future and would recommend it to all travellers . Good value for money The hotel is staffed very competent and able people .we were entertained each Night. Most enjoyable stay ..thank you
