Whilst enjoying a sunny Saturday, in Southport, we decide to have lunch at The Fishermens Rest. Upon entering the staff were very friendly and the surroundings were nice. We sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day. I ordered fish and chips . The fish tasted fresh, and the portion size was good, and prices are very reasonable. The lasagne my dining partner had was very tasty and a good portion size served with salad and garlic bread. Overall, the food and service were of a good standard. The toilet was very modern and clean. If you're in Southport, Pop in you won't he disappointed
Fantastic atmosphere. Fantastic staff. Fantastic food. Probably my favorite place in Southport for Sunday lunch. Had a lamb and mint burger — absolutely delicious. A+++
Beef burger - with cheese and onion rings - side of fries and coleslaw- PERFECT!!! Proof that you don’t need to serve fancy sounding dishes - focus on simple but cooked to perfection
A short walk away from the seafront, this pub is not to be missed. The food was good quality and really well priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the beer was decent too.
Had a fabulous Xmas turkey dinner yesterday. Huge, tasty and hot meal. Great service and price. Will definitely be returning. Thank you!
Wow the quality of food was amazing value for money definitely be back
Massive menu reasonably priced. We had fish, chips & mushy peas-small bites portion £8.95. Plenty big enough at lunchtime or anytime. Main meals we saw being served looked very generous.
Busy place serving good large portions of food at reasonable prices and a great atmosphere, pity it wasn't dog friendly or I would have been in every night of my 8 day stay, but I understand when I see some dog owners not keeping control of their dogs.
Welcoming staff, busy venue with interesting historical prominence. Staff were attentive and service smooth despite all tables being occupied. Portions of good proportion with a few chips extra for a dog bag and food hot and tasty. Breathed a sigh of relief that I didn't have to manoeuvre my own car in quite a tight car park
Been going to 'The Fish' for years and always had excellent service from Ed, Jill, Jade and the staff. Great value and quality food plus a good pint. The best pub in Southport by far.
