Very nice place to visit for food. Very clean and friendly. Service was excellent for the most part. Nice interior and the beer garden was well kept and tidy with plenty of tables and also little kiosks that would be great in the summer time! I had lunch there. £16 for two courses. The duck starter was absolutley amazing! And had a hanging kebab, lamb kofta. Came with chips and salad plus roast peppers and red onion on the kebab. Very, very tasty. Shared a choc fudge cake and custard for dessert. That was very nice too! Top marks all round!
Went here for the first time for tea tonight with my Mum and Dad. Friendly and professional service from staff and great food I had the hanging chicken kebab and the Maltesers sundae which were both lovely. Highly recommended! :
Went recently for my birthday and we had a meal. I had a mixed grill which comprised of steak, sausages, chicken breast, gammon with fried eggs, chips and peas. My wife had the all day breakfast. Everything was cooked very well. The service was very good and done in a timely manner. The table was cleaned before we sat down and the staff were friendly and polite throughout our meal. We will return soon.
I want to start off by saying the staff are excellent, attentive and positive. That said, I resent paying nearly £5 for a pint of own brand lager. The food arrived quickly but was ultimately disappointing, salt and pepper chips were clearly oven chips, with a dash of salt and pepper garnish thrown on. The beef wrap was wet and I was lucky I found this out, whilst I was still holding over my plate and not my clothing. Prime location on the main road into Southport, but I will be using other pub facilities in the local area, next time I am in Southport.
I had my Dad's 100th birthday here last month and the staff gave me the exclusive free use of the private room at the back and all the services that goes with that. There was only a small number of us so it was very good of them to do this. They couldn't do enough for us and the food and the service were excellent throughout. I thoroughly recommend them for events like this.
Fanflippintastic .. Had our Christmas dinner here on Christmas Day and it was a taste explosion .The food was above and beyond expectation and credit to the chefs for cooking such stunning food.The staff were amazing and super friendly .The table was set beautifully and we all had a fantastic time . Sadly there were a few moaning Minnie's being absolutely rude to the staff which to be honest there was no need at all .. I glared at a few whilst stuffing my face and once i was able to speak i made a point of saying how lovely it was and how the staff had given up their Christmas to make our Christmas special . It was such a lovely day we have booked for next Christmas .Thank you team Richmond for taking the stress out of my Christmas and making it even better by cooking such a belting meal x
Amazing food Please thank your staff today from Me our whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. I used to work in hospitality in kitchens so I no how stressful it can be and also dealing with some arshole customers. We don't get to go out much due to my work but will definitely make the Richmond a go to place when we can . Thank you all again
Visited as a large party for a family birthday, cannot fault the service or the food. All meals were pre ordered from the festive menu, no problems with any of them, carvery was lovely and in all was good value. All staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
We had our friends Birthday party consisting of 22 people tonight. We experienced an absolute nightmare, first off the staff serving us were clearly clueless about anything we enquired about.The same dish which was ordered by multiple people, which most of the party had ordered had arrived in different ways, everyone had multiple things missing. Just before this when we had ordered all of our food and had been waiting for a while, waitress informed us that they ran out of chicken and that we need to reorder something different on the menu, bare in mind this party had been booked more than three months ago so they should have been prepared, the worst thing of all was that the birthday girl who is also 8 months pregnant was served last and received a stake which wasn't well cooked which she personally can't have due to being pregnant, birthday girl was very upset , even though she got a discount it's still not enough for the fact that everything was a disaster and birthday girl was in tears multiple times on a day which she was meant to be celebrated, everything went wrong, service was terrible and so was the atmosphere, the only decent thing I can say is that the food is at least alright. The only people that made the situation better was the people invited to the party. Would definitely not recommend this place for a birthday party or any party or gathering at all.
Visited this place because it said it was dog friendly, how true that was. Surroundings were lovely, we were made very welcome. We had a really lovely and well priced meal, food was fantastic and our four-legged family member even enjoyed a doggy sausage. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely go back again
