We have been with the Genix dentistry practice since moving to Cirencester. We have found them to be amazingly accommodating. I have needed lots of treatment over the last three years. Our dental surgeon Jonathan is fabulous, he takes time to explain the treatment programme, and to date I am absolutely satisfied. When needing to be treated because of an emergency situation, the practice have been incredible. The reception staff so accommodating, polite and efficient. I have nothing but praise for this practice and our Dental Surgeon which I am not sure if I am meant to name him in this feedback. He has been fantastic for us as a family.
I and now 75 years of age and have used Genix Cirencester for ten years now and have been very satisfied with the treatment that I have received there, including some bridge work. Bookings are readily available for routine inspections and non-urgent appointments although I have not as yet have a need for emergency treatment. The appears to have been quite a regular churn of the dental staff over the time I have been going there but I have always been satisfied with each dentist I have encountered. The reception staff are generally polite and cheerful. In sum, I am very pleased to be registered with a NHS dental practice such as Genix Cirencester.
My family and I have used Genix for years. I have always received excellent service, and the staff are efficient, professional and friendly. The only slight reservation is the emergency line - we've needed this twice chipped teeth, but were unable to get through to anyone. For routine maintenance and check ups however, we've been very pleased and are grateful to have such an excellent NHS service available locally.
Genix Cirencester has been my dentist since I moved to the area 7 years ago. I've had several crowns and one root canal filling amongst others and have always been very pleased. Recently broke part of tooth and it was filled promptly and its been fine since. Very pleased.
Worst dentist I’ve ever been to and worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. Went in for a checkup and had some x-rays. Was told I needed two fillings, one on each side at the lower back. That seemed about right I knew from previous dentist that I was due to have some feelings. We made a plan for the fillings, one would be done the following week and the second feeling would be done a few weeks after that. I paid the entire amount consultation and two appointments for feelings out front. First feeling seemed normal but I had quite a bit of sensitivity in the tooth. I was told this word rectify itself within a few hours. The pain continued for a few days and after the third day I couldn’t eat and was in agony. I called up and got an appointment. Turns out the feeling hadn’t been put in correctly and was pressing on a nerve. I then had to endure the pain of having the filling removed and another one put in. Not only that, The first feeling I had was white and blended in nicely with my teeth, however once the Horrorshow was completed I looked in my mouth to find a very conspicuous dark grey filling had been put in. I guess it was the cheaper one and he didn’t wanted to redo as cheap as possible? Find the stage I have absolutely zero faith in his dentist but I’ve already paid for everything out front so I go ahead with that dental plan. I turn up again in a few weeks for the second booked appointment and lay on the table only to be told that The dentist couldn’t find the hole in my tooth it needed to be filled! I must have some kind of miracle teeth that rejuvenate them self because he took further x-rays but could still not find where is tooth needed to be filled! So I left. But I didn’t even get any money back because I turned up to the appointment. By the way the hole in my tooth was always there and I now have to use another dentist to get it filled! Never ever ever ever go here. They are absolute charlatans!
My Wife and I had excellent treatment up to the time that Helen left. Since then we have been very disappointed, as our appointments have amounted to a quick look and no scaling/ cleaning and out in less than 5 minutes. Helen used to give us a thorough inspection and scale and we felt this justified the cost.
I’ve used Genix in Cirencester for 5 or 6 years, in fact I registered just after they opened. The first 2 or 3 years were great, always had the same dentist, Helen, who was excellent but since Helen left I have never had the same dentist more than twice. The dentist I visited last week, Jonathan, was overbooked and was the only dentist in the practice. He had 5 patients waiting when I left. He rushed my filling, which was a very big one which had fallen out & had to be replaced, leaving the tooth very rough which I was told would wear off but I have my doubts. There was no water to swill out my mouth or a tissue to wipe it. I know restrictions since COVID have been harsh but I thought they had now been released. In their favour the receptionists are good and you can usually get an emergency appointment but they are inclined to change the appointments you make 6 months in advance 2 or 3 times. I know there is a huge shortage of dentists throughout the country which I feel is a problem which Genix should sort out within their practice and get some stability.
Nice to find an NHS dentist, Have been treated by Helen, Johnathon and now Pooja in the last 10 years, all good service, Manage to fit me in during Covid19 several times for treatment. The assisting staff do seem to turnover quite quickly though. Would be nice to see more NHS dentists generally but they seem to be a declining NHS resource.
I joined Genix at the recommendation of my mother, and I've not been disappointed. Over the years I've been to more than a few great dentists around the U.K. Genix are by far and away the best that I've ever been to. I highly recommend them!!!
Been calling them via telephone almost every day for three weeks and still no one has picked up the phone. The whole place seems to have gone down the pan since Helen left a year or so ago. Very rushed appointments and no staff to answer calls.
