Devastating. Can't book advanced appointments, have to wait in a queue every time at 8am for urgent slots, which usually take over an hour and run out - meaning you have to repeat the process the next day. Doctors are usually fine and helpful when you do beat the odds and score a miracle by getting a booking - but truly unsure how this has been going on for so long or able to still be the case. It's a risk to peoples lives.
Such a terrible service. There is no advance booking system. You have to call 8am for an doctor appointment and there is no guarantee you will have one. I use this GP only for my daughter who has some disabilities, I have no choice there isn't any more in this area. My daughter is on medication and I have to make regular prescription request for her. Every time I request for a prescription receptionist makes mistakes, Not sending the prescription to the pharmacy. I que up to the pharmacy for 30mins or more sometimes just to find out they haven't received any prescription request from the GP. The problem is staffs are not improving their service, they are not taking any action to provide better service for the community.
I have been calling for 2 weeks now to get an appointment for my elderly mom who is diabetic and has dementia concerns. I have emailed them my concerns and had no response. I was promised a call back on 2 occasions but this never happened. I dont know what to do now to progress this, as every attempt directs me back to the GP. The call waiting time has been approx 2 hours and when you get to the front of the queue they dont answer or cut you off! Disgraceful! Extremely disappointed and let down by the NHS service!
Utterly disgraceful !!!!!!!! I rang this morning after 58 mins wait, told no appointments till 2 weeks and that I should call back at 12 as she can see appointments but can not book them till then, what a ridiculous system. I have been trying consistently only for the line to give an engage tone, there is no hold or indication as to whether the phones are on. I am utterly confused I regret moving my GP from London. Nothing about this system makes sense. I have a poorly baby and no way of getting an appointment , a referral or requesting a call back from a GP It is very worrying as I have a new born and being able to contact a GP is not something parents to a baby need to worry about. Anybody thinking of joining this surgery as a patient take note of all the reviews and do not bother. If I could give Zero I would
6 hours on the phone today, these people are going to be responsible for patient deaths, if not already. Was promised a call back twice, first time they rang for 7 seconds before hanging up. 2nd time they just left a voicemail asking me to call back, knowing that I was having an issue, they just left me. I called back immediately, they kept me on hold and then the phone line disconnected at 1820, looks like they wanted an early night. Spoke to Donna on the phone, lead receptionist who assured me she was handling this but as per usual with this surgery, they've shirked their responsibility. I will now be calling 111 and creating unnecessary strain because the appropriate health care pathway was unable to do a basic job. This isn't the first time and it's been like this before the pandemic. I've complained countless times, reported to the CQC and they still continue to run this place into the ground. I had a prescription due in October which did not arrive and the pharmacy next door until December. You should all quit.
Used to be good when White Horse, but now the telephone operators who think they are Doctors want all your medical details-Which ironically are in front of them in computers-and then promptly tell you No Appointment, No WONT do, they are now leaving a diabetic without medication for 2weeks! Almost 2hrs waiting on phone yesterday for a refusal- i was 29th in queue I feel a claim for medical negligence coming if a hypo or hyper occurs! Lets see if the manager responds to this I WONT HOLD MY BREATH! For a satisfying reply, IF I COULD PUT ZERO STARS THAT WOULD BE TOO MANY
Shambles. Repeatedly called at 8am and 12pm and after 5 mins got a message to say all appts had been booked. Tried to call at 10am for a prescription or advice but after an hour and 15 mins and number 3 in the queue, I was cut off. Called the chemist and was advised to ring NHS111 who intervened and got a prescription arranged. The ‘My GP’ app is pointless as no appointments are loaded. This poor service is really letting The Forge Surgery down, over 30 years and no problems at all, always had first class service from Dr Karunaharan. So disappointing to see it going downhill since the merger.
Absolutely disgusting! I'd give Zero stars if I could! My nan was rushed to A&E on Tuesday with 180-201 blood pressure, we came home at around 2am and the same day we called Springhead Health because she needed her blood pressure prescription tablets, turns out she needs an appointment to get the tablets so we've been trying to book for the past 3 days! Each day they say there are no appointments or call at 12 and again NO APPOINTMENTS! I swear if my nan dies because they didn't give us a appointment at the right time, I am sueing!!
To get best experience with booking appointments I strongly urge everyone to use their online service - you get your login details from reception. This enables you to book appointments at any time of day and shows you the real availability of every doctor in the practice. Especially good to beat the rush of phoning for any cancelled appointments in the morning! I've never had an issue of getting an appointment since signing up to this service and am mostly able to get an appointment within 2 days. Sometimes even the next day! You can also order some repeat prescriptions through the same website. Update - they’ve now removed this very handy service. Huge step back IMO
This surgery is now a complete mess. I have been calling for about two weeks and can't get an appointment. I called everyday at their 8am appointment booking time only to be told after a long wait that the appointments are booked. Got lucky on one of the days and appointment was finally booked but the doctor never called me back for the telephone appointment and I was advised to book again. Back to where I started. It is such a shame that a good surgery could get to a nasty mess. I have a swolen ankle and I'm limping already.I am on high blood pressure medication, need to have a review, for my medication and really don't know the way forward.
