Excellent place, went there for the first time a few days ago, highly recommended! Super friendly owner helped me decide which sandwich to go with, and I was even able to add a fruit salad which was lovely. Strongly recommended!
I stopped by The Gourmet Deli during lunch for the first time this afternoon and was thoroughly impressed with my initial experience. Pros: Clean and comfortable atmosphere Wide variety of menu items Speedy and personable service Excellent quality in terms of the soup and sandwiches Cons: Pricy compared to the portion sizes Overall, I would definitely return in the future to order other items.
Enjoyed this deli since they were on on King St. Now, inside towers on 380 Wellington an updated look and feel is nice; yet, they're service goes unchanged with warm smiles and efficient staff churning out delicious orders. A must when you're downtown.
OH MY GOSH HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE!? They make a beautiful selection of dessert bars - I tried 3 - and one didn’t even make the pic it was sooo good. Raspberrry key lime is to die for, so is the praline one. The peanut bar brownie type was good too. Phenomenal I’ll be hitting this place up much more!
Awesome little deli on the first floor of the tower. Simple sandwich flawlessly executed at a good price. Baked goods are a standout and the service was faster than the elevator ride to back to my office. All-day breakfast appeared to be a hit with some of the folks in-line and smelled eggcellent, will certainly be a top contender for quick lunches.
I tried my first burger today! All I can say is wow! They have really high quality ingredients. Everything was made fresh right in front of you. Service was great! Would recommend to anyone!Food: 5/5
Was excited when i saw their description Corned Beef A succulent tower of paper-thin slivers of moist corned meat, perched on sliced seeded rye. I was disappointed when i got it. Restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. I ordered the large: The corned beef came out of a tub that was kept in the fridge, put on a scale and then warmed up on a flat top. Not what i was expecting from a "deli". The rye bread was good, but the sandwich was far from a "succulent tower" as i hoped to get. I would be trying a different deli instead of coming back.
Got home and the one item we purchased had mould on it. Owner has an attitude problem. Won’t be back. Update - owners attitude problem was commented on due to how they choose to respond to reviews. Claiming anything negative as not being a real review instead of actually fixing the issue and being responsible. My opinion and 1 star review is valid and still stands.
Great selection and variety, custom made sandwiches and tried-and-true recipes from the menu. Great and friendly staff work fast for a great breakfast lunch or dinner experience.
