Having been before & seeing the new lunch menu online, we decided another visit was due. Although we had booked we had to wait before we got a seat in the bar area but we weren't seated long before being shown to our table. The melon starter was an array of colour, the prawn cocktail tasty, albeit a small portion. We opted to pay the £4 supplement for the roast rib eye, Yorkshire pudding & roast potato. And I mean a single potato! The single slice of beef was a little overdone but delicious nonetheless. The mango creme brûlée hit the spot, however the spoon sized piece of vanilla ice cream was insufficient in ration to the apple/rhubarb crumble. Service was exceptional as usual. Portion size left me wanting, wanting a bag of crisps on the way home!

VOW RENEWAL AND RUBY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS 25th November 2017 What a truly magical day/night, great food, excellent service surrounded by our Family and Friends. Thank you so much, in particular Lorna and Scott, who made the day run so smoothly, and all the staff at this Wonderful Hotel. This is the second time we have had a special occasion celebration here and will definitely use it again. All our Guests had only good things to say about the food, service and venue. Also the beautiful Honeymoon Suite, thank you Lorna this was such a treat. If you are looking for the perfect venue this should be your first choice. Wonderful food, cocktails, wine list. Excellent service. Somehow msnages to remain luxurious and refined, without being pretentious. I'd forgotten how lovely the whole experience is.

Lovely venue for a wedding or other celebration - we played there recently for a wedding and it was a cracking night! Their coffee gets a special mention from Kyle our drummer (which is a big thing) and all the staff were a good laugh. Let's hope we get back here soon :)

Booked a special birthday meal for my father in law the year before for 16 people(so they knew we were due in) ....booked for 7.30pm... eventually got our starter at 8.45pm ..food was delicious...but was really too late to eat by the time we got our main, dessert...i was really disappointed..
